That's a problem with Kalyway distro. You might want to try iAtkos.

Hey people! Finally got Hackintosh installed on my PC. Now i'm facing these two minor problems:
1. Not being able to run at my native reso 1440 x 900. I'm using a 19" LCD monitor and nVidia 880GT graphics card.
2. I *think* there is no sound. I'm having an onboard sound chip.
I installed the Hackintosh using Kalyway 10.5.1. Any help will be deeply appreciated. Thanks guys!
EDIT: The media files (eg: songs in iTunes) are not even playing, let alone sound-less. What's wrong? EDIT2: I read somewhere that i'll need to change the com.apple.Boot.plist in order to force change the resolution. But the problem is....i don't have that file!

As for the sound, I'm having Realtek High Definition Audio. I do not know what is the exact chipset name. How can i find out?

I'm a bit late to the Hackintosh party, and I've just installed a Hackintosh (using Kalyway 10.5.2) machine using a Shuttle SD30G2B with: Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4GHz 2x2GB Kingston DDR2 667MHz RAM (Only 3.25GB recognized! ) Asus Nvidia 8500GT Silent (Fan-less) 256MB Video Card Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC888) Maxtor 250GB SATA HDD Pioneer DVD-115 RW Dell E228 WFP Monitor Linksys Wireless USB WUSB54G v4.0 (Got this 4 years ago and was just sitting in a box) Managed to get the 8500GT driver installed and with VGA output at 1680x1050. Couldn't get DVI output to work with the native 1680x1050 resolution for the Dell E228WFP Monitor. With DVI, only 1024x768 works. Will have to live with VGA output for the moment. I got all the help I needed from the forum at http://www.insanelymac.com/ and http://wiki.osx86project.org/. Everything was working after 2 nights of tinkering.

Hi, I'm wonder whether u guys can help me out anot? I'm new in this things, but I got myself a Kalyway Leopard. Done all the partitionings etc, but when I boot it into my computer, the process stopped at the line ToH:xnu-1228/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 or something like tat. I waited for few hrs for it to progress, but it just hang there. I tried typing -v, -s at the darwin loader, but it's still the same.
Weirdly, when I used the VMWare out of desperation, it is able to run until there is a gray screen loaded on it (with a blue cursor) and then hang there as well. any reason that vmware manage to put the installation thus far, and why is tat I cant progress with it as well? Based on the many readings I have done, I should be anticipating the language selection screen..

Just installed leo4all (version 2 I think) on my Asus M2A-VM HDMI with AMD X2. Im so lucky when everythings working. Especially my LINKSYS AM300 ADSL modem. Only display , with intergrated ATI X1250, resolution only came with 1024x768. I need supported PCI-E card now... maybe need same as macpro standard hardware setup (HD2600 PRO).
Building Macpro isn't a dream anymore...
