Booked on the 1st of December 2021. Car collected 27th January 2022 cause I insisted on getting a 2022 manufactured car.

I commute 120km daily to and fro from work, I am very happy with the way the Ativa handles.

Still running off the full tank provided by the SA, can't really gauge fuel consumption.

Add ons so far:
- Tinting done. Not branded, but very good installer. PM if want details.
- Swapped out the Factory Head Unit and Speakers with Teyes CC3 and Infinity Alpha speakers respectively. Sounds so much better!
- Soundproofing scheduled to be completed by this Saturday.
- And finally getting the car coated on Sunday.

Does the hdmi still functional with the Teyes CC3 ?
*
USB and HDMI functions, but not from the standard ports that come with the car. Installer will thread it through and leave it in the glove compartment. If you want the USB at the standard front port to work, need to let installer know. I think the installer can splice/power it up using the provided USB cables from the Teyes head unit.-

Bro, can share details eg cost and where you got these done ?
Thanks.
*
- Teyes head unit bought online via Lazada during 12.12 sale (RM 2257). They had a promo and threw in rear camera and voice control software license (lifetime) bundled together.
- Speakers bought online via shopee also during 12.12 sale Inifiity Alpha 650c (RM 399) and Infinity Alpha 6530 (RM 259).

Can arrange with Teyes on the nearest installation point to your location. I got mine installed at an accessory shop I regularly used for RM 300 (camera, head unit + Speaker)

For soundproofing, PM tepi. Quite happy with his handiwork and installation, though his price has increased due to the cost of his material increasing.

Got mine on 27th too and got it coated few days ago. I'm also looking to soundproof and install a headunit with android auto but the warranty void is the dealbreaker. Maybe will do it on the 5th year 🙈
*
Not an audiophile, but the original head unit and speakers cannot make it. Plus the amount of time I spent commuting to work...I can live with the warranty being voided for the infotainment unit...

I wanna ask about this also. When I acclerate I can hear a long whistle sound during acceleration but it stops when I release the pedal slightly. But don't have this sound when I press the acceleration on P mode.

Not sure if its normal turbo sound or not. Didn't recall hearing it on the first few days after getting the car (maybe radio too loud lol)
*
It's the turbo blowoff sound.

I did the following Blowoff But removed it immediately after a test drive. A bit too noisy. Lols!

Just want to ask, when accelerating, I can smell a fade burning odour coming out from vent. Is that normal?
*
Yar normal. Engine being run-in. Try not to push too hard (rev meter above 3~4K) during run in period. Smell only come out when you push car hard. Read on Facebook group that the smell will go away biggrin.gif

How much outside noise was reduced after insulation?  drool.gif
*
Significant reduction. Can hardly hear motorbike exhaust when stopped at traffic light, unless modified exhaust lar. Driving to and fro work on uneven surfaces, less road noise in cabin. Engine noise also minimized a lot. My car stereo lower the volume by two notches already and had to recaliberate the DSP because the music becomes sharper.

But it's not 100% lar, noise will still come into cabin. Now when I drive fast a bit, the wind noise from the door become more pronounced...

Wow, very nice.
You did all this yourself? How long did it take for the roof? Was it difficult?
I want to do this also, but won’t the car become a lot heavier?
*
No Bro. Got this done by a freelancer. PM Tepi for contact. Yes the car becomes heavier by about 13~15 kgs. Less than an adult's weight.

What about vibrations over rough roads? were you previously experiencing rattling noises in the cabin as you drive over grainy patches of road?
*
Can't say that I was experiencing rattling noises even when driving over grainy patches of road. More of wind noise coming in from the doors when driving fast. The after market head unit I installed was rattling, but a little sponge between the unit and the dashboard resolved that.

I changed my unit to a Teyes CC3. I would recommend it. Supports apple carplay and android auto.

mind to share what is the deafferents compare to original beside have android and apply car play,

- is all button on steering working?

original center console socket working?
- how about USB 1 & 2?
- HDMI ?
how much?
*
See this post bro

Original USB will no longer work, but you can ask the installer to "wire" it up if you want it to work. Mine is all threaded and stored in the glove compartment. You can find out more about the product at their CC3 website, too many to list here.

Hi guys, I just upgraded the HU to Teyes, unfortunately the ori usb ports cant be used. Is there any way to make it useful? Just need it for phone charging not to wired connection to HU. Thanks
*
Where did you get the HU installed? Did they thread the USB connectors that come with the HU to the glove compartmenr? You can get the installer to splice/split the cable to power up the original sockets.

Install at Neuton Penang, I’m not sure about the installation process but already ask them to power up ori usb socket. They said need to buy some adapter in shopee. But not sure what adapter.
*
Funny, I installed at my regular accessory shop he didn't mention the need for any adapter also. Maybe they didn't charge me, I didn't ask. But I recommend to go back and get them to do it for you lor.

Mine is Ativa also. My wind noise comes from the rear passenger seat, sounds like coming from outside even though everything locked and closed.

Edit: Not sure if anyone else have this, but there are sounds at the front (not dashboard), sounds like coming from tweeter or aircond area.
*
I sat in the rear recently while my wife drove. The wind noise in the rear I feel is coming from the small triangle window (the one that you cannot open/close). Also the lack of a solid sound insulation (torneau cover) let's whatever sound that is coming from the trunk into the rear of the car. I am not sure if anyone in this forum is a member of thisATIVA FB Group. The moderator there is supposed to be bringing in a solid board (OEM) to replace the torneau cover during CNY period. But until now, no update sad.gif
