The foldable net thingy that hides/cover the luggage area (trunk).
The netting cover. Please can you share a link to it on shopee/lazada? I tried searching already, but all results are for the "bottom tray" instead of cover. Thanks!
Ah yes yes, tourneo cover. Fancy name. Thanks

You looking for the soft net tonneau or a custom wooden cover?

soft foldable type is best. easy to remove when i carry bigger items.
The stock Perodua one also can, but I dunno how much or where to buy it

What happen to your's? I don't know where to find the soft one but SACA have a "soft" version but not foldable.

Oh dear, I x sempat write my review of my Ativa AV after a month of using it.

TBH, there's only a few feature that I find useful in the AV compared to H.

Useful features
1) RTCA this is useful to me despite being annoying to me at first. But reducing the buzzer volume from 2 to 1 makes it more bearable.
2) BSM this I find it quite useful, I didn't like to use the small blind spot mirror, my vision too blind to see blindspot mirror lol

Nice to have
3) leather seat to match the interior, but the fabric seats are pretty good too, can opt to change the seats or get the GearUp leather seat cover.
4) cruise control - this really depends on how much long distance drive u do, if u do long distance drive every other day, then this will be a useful feature to have. If u mainly do city drive only, this falls to a "nice to have" level.

Not useful
5) DVR, this bugger keeps falling off from the adhesive! And the FOV isn't that wide angle. I rather not have this and rather choose to buy aftermarket dashcam like A500S.
6) LKC this isn't that good, there's hit and miss, and I always keep this off unless I am driving on the highway and want to enable CC.
7) Auto high beam, this is another bad feature, it doesn't detect the car I am tail gating behind and the AHB high beam the poor soul in front of me.

Overall, I am paying the extra money for just 2-4 additional feature over the H variant. Given the choice again, I would've opt for H instead of AV base on my usage.

5. I'm using the A400 from 70mai front and back. very wide 145 angle for front, and 130 for rear. Cheap right now in online shopping.
6. I hate LKC. turned it off permanently. The car doesnt just stay in centre of the lane like other LKC i have used.
The one in Ativa makes my car bounce from left line to right line. macam pinball. Very poor programming.
7. you should report to P2. Maybe need calibration. Mine worked very well. and I intentionally tested it too. Only problem is it doesn't seem to recognize motorbikes.
But for cars of any type, it will turn off the beam very accurately.
*
5. yeah, my options are only within the 70mai models, definitely better than the ones that comes with it. did you remove the factory installed dvr? or can it's power cable use with your dashcam?

6. i didn't experience it like pinball though, but it definitely feels like the programming is like early version and unpolished like other LKC.

7. if there's oncoming cars, it doesn't light up. so when i'm driving behind a car, and no oncoming traffic, the AHB triggers sweat.gif made me panic sial
perhaps i'll test somemore and then report to P2 the next time i go for service

5. mine didnt come with the P2 dashcam, so I bought my own +rear cam. Same as you, I have several cars also using 70mai, so I want to stay in this ecosystem and use a single app to manage all the cameras. I'm using the car's existing 2.1amp USB slot, and it has enough power for both front and rear cameras.

6. For now, it is too unrefined. Maybe we were spoilt by other cars lane centering function. Lets keep hoping P2 will release an update for the software AI.

7. do you mean it cannot recognize the tail lights of the cars in front of you? or oncoming cars?
*
I see... I'm so annoyed by the P2 dashcam 😠
I've seen before in Fb got ppl flash or reprogram the LKC and/or CC to make it more refined. I didn't bother much about it since that time I haven't booked my car yet lol

It doesn't recognize the taillight of other cars in front of me.

your model has auto leveling headlamps?
*
QUOTE(FrogBlob @ Dec 3 2022, 03:51 PM)
iirc H and AV model got auto levelling
*
Yeah it did. I gave the AHB another try the other day, and what I noticed is that while the high beam indicator is up, it doesn't actually "high beam" the car in front of me or any oncoming cars. I forgot that it is actually Adaptive Driving Beam, only high beams where there's no light source detected by the sensors.

same for me. I did found that if I raise/lower the height adjustment of the seat, it gives an entirely different "angle. Try it, might work for you too.
Next car I wont settle for any cars without telescopic steering adjustments anymore!
*
QUOTE(jpaq @ Dec 5 2022, 04:32 PM)
Okok... I might try playing with the seat height again and see. Thanks for the idea. Ya wor... never thought that telescopic steering adjustment can be so important until now!
*
Aye... It took me quite a bit of adjustment to find an acceptable seat/steering adjustment for my height of 180cm. My right feet feels a bit stiff when driving long distance, this is where ACC comes in handy for me to stretch my legs. If I adjust the seat higher, my bontot doesn't feel comfortable, so I leave the seat at the base level.

You are right, next car I buy must have telescopic steering adjustment!

that day someone discussed about choosing between new alza vs veloz. then someone replied go for veloz eventho a bit expensive. his reason is because veloz has telescopic steering hahaha
*
That alone is a good reason enough to fork out extra RM20k 😂

I got curious, read the comparison review between Veloz vs Alza, further.
for rm20k you also get these:

-wireless apple carplay/android auto.
-larger 17" rims  (personally like odd number rim sizes)
-telescopic adjustable steering wheels
-real DRL on headlamp unit
-functional roof rails
-interior ambient lighting
-wireless Qi charger in middle console
-auto climate control
-taller ride height

Personally, I would go for veloz (over alza), because that is a lot of the extras for 20k (especially once divided into installments).
What about you?
*
I didn't read or look up much on Veloz and Alza because I don't need or want a 7 seater. The features that you mentioned is it available only in the top variant?

QUOTE(contagiouseddie @ Dec 6 2022, 11:16 PM)
Also has:
- external LED under the side mirror so you can see if you step on dog shit.
- external ambient temperature sensor and shown on the digital meter cluster.
- GPS tracker service (for 2 years or 3, can't remember exactly)
- less ah beng seat color.
- continuous rear strip of back light.

But 1 important thing that is present on the Alza but missing on Veloz is the central locking button near center of console which allow passenger easier reach to it.
*
Where is the central locking button in Veloz?

Eh uolls don't derail the topic 😅

Do you guys follow the tyre pressure recommendation for your Ativa?
I find the recommended pressure of 34 psi seems a bit too stiff to my liking and dropping them to 32-33 seems more comfortable.

Well this is a thread for "car buying" actually (look at first post, and TS background). so we're not tied to any rules hahaha
I remember the recommended was 2.4bar. I also find it too bumpy. How low can we go?
I prefer comfort over fuel savings. I'm wondering if I should deflate to 2.3bar or even 2.2. Is that too low?
BTW perodua when released the car to me, it was at 2.8bar wth rite
*
It is common practice for new cars to have their tyres with higher air pressure in it. Can't recall the exact reason, but I think it's along the lines of not letting the tyre go out of shape in case if the car is going to be stationary for a period of time while waiting for buyer.

QUOTE(ikeiyou @ Dec 7 2022, 08:31 PM)
it says here 2.4bar on the door pillars tho

*
Yeah, same as Turbo Ativa, 34 psi or 2.4 bar. So far 33 psi or 2.3 bar feels like a sweet spot for me, didn't want to go anymore lower 😅

Do you all still smell "burning" smell like hot hair dryer when you drive past 100km/h or revving above 3k for awhile?

Not sure if this is a permanent thing or will it disappear after a period of time.

It is normal although it's not supposed to creep into the inside of the car. This is due to a very small opening that supposed to be an secondary optional *[I can't remember the function mentioned by the Perodua technician]*. They cut cost and never seal it tightly. If you use your finger and korek-korek then you will notice it's there. This hole was also present in the Myvi but was sealed properly. Unless everyone mogok buat bising, they won't do any fixes I believe.
*
Ugh... What is this, Perodua leaving a hole for us? 😂

QUOTE(myteam94 @ Dec 14 2022, 08:04 AM)
where does this 'opening' located?

the smell is more apparent when driving above 100kmh but at low speed sometime can smell it as well..  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
How low? If I'm going uphill and my engine revving 3k-4k constantly, then the smell will come d.

So
Over the weekend I drive from KL to Melaka
Since hway is jammed like crazy, Im using mixed of both trunk and hway and rural road

Driving experince nothing to shout about, but if you really drive within the speed limit, 19km-20km per liter surely can achieves

I try to behave and diligently used eco idle, but i really cannot brain why the engine shut down very fast, even when you shifted from D - N - R - P
When you arrived and want to stop
The engine off when you stop then ON back when you shifted back to N and R

Im guessing no more NO eco idle for me  mega_shok.gif

Within few days my car already clock 800km, i guess need to book for first inspection already
*
The eco idle is really annoying, on paper it's a good fuel saving feature but in real world, it is annoying AF and wears the spark plug faster.

Driving quite aggresive from Kota Bharu to Putrajaya. Took 4H30mins including petrol/toilet stop. Quite impresive with ativa performance. Upgrading suspension is a must for more solid driving high speed. It was very early morning with super less trafic. Normal drive took atleast 6H
*
You find the car too bouncy?
Would changing the suspension void warranty?

Going to answer my own question.

Basically need to bring to the Perodua Body and Paint center. Any amount of crack can use insurance to claim. The windscreen with the AV tint is RM18xx and without tint is RM13xx. I only insured RM1K, in dilemma on whether to tint outside as the AV tint is rubbish but worried the tint guys going to mess the camera portion. Perodua will also do all the necessary camera recalibration if needed. It will take a day to repair (morning go in, evening can pick up car) but another day before that is required to submit the documents for insurance claim.

Has anyone here has windscreen crack but left it until it becomes much bigger before replacing?
*
I am aware of the lousy quality of the windscreen, I got it insured. Took it to the highway a few times now, I recalled 3-5 incidents of stone hitting my windscreen, saw like 3-4 stone chip on my windscreen now but syukur no cracks.
The price you inquired, is it from Perodua or was it from elsewhere?

drive for more than 1200 km over the CNY weekend,, my car only 1 month old, clocking 3500km already  smile.gif

on Monday drove almost 12 hours with few hours stop in between (8am - 8pm),,
only after 4 hours of driving my butt bone sakit whereas in my CRV its start to hurt after 2 hours

Few things I realized
1. When we walk near the car with smart key, light in car boot will lit up
2. You can drive apprx another 20km after the fuel gauge indicator all zero,, I dont know,, maybe more
3. There is indicator on your dash with coffee cup asking you to take a break after 2 hours or so driving
*
Eh for #1 do you mean the car interior light in the centre?
A few times I sort of noticed this but I wasn't paying attention. How I thought I noticed was, when I open the car door, I noticed like the light macam already on, as in I didn't notice it switching on the moment I open the door. I never did go verify that again, but thanks to you for confirming it for me 😁

#2 you looking at the distance estimation is it? Was the last bar on your fuel blinking or anything? I only guesstimate that based on my style of driving in the city, one bar of the fuel gauge will get me about 50-60km. So when you say zero, do you mean the distance estimation or your fuel gauge?

since the package come with both front n rear speaker

will it affect the tweeter since AV equip with 6 speakers.

Sorry man, didn't change speaker set up. Don't know much on this.
I presume that the tweeter won't be affected lah...but best to ask the installers about this.

Hi, Do you guy get a rattling sound coming from either the lower arm, tie-rod end or steering rack?  Very annoying when you go over uneven roads or small potholes which is all over the place at a spot that you cannot avoid?
*
Yeah sometimes. I think mostly its coming from behind the head unit and behind the dashboard. I read somewhere it is cables behind the head unit that is making the rattling sound and the dashboard is, well, Perodua standards of fixtures. But it can be fixed by sticking padded double sided tape on several points between the dashboards.
