Thanks for bringing up this topic

During the period from 1979 to 1996, one of the functions of the offense of hooliganism was to serve as an instrument for the regulation of sexuality.

The China of 1979 was a place in which, at least officially, any sexual activity other than heterosexual intercourse within a monogamous marriage was regarded as being immoral and possibly criminal.

Some cases involved small groups of male primary offenders (occasionally joined by a female) who would organize "hooligan dance parties" or "lights-off dances" at which the guests danced, viewed pornography, and, together with the organizers, engaged in a variety of sexual activity, including rape.

While most of the cases available involve the behavior of males, women too could be prosecuted for sexual hooligan offenses.

One collection includes two cases in which women who had multiple sexual partners were found guilty of "hooligan promiscuity."

The term "hooligan promiscuity" did not appear in the criminal law.

However, Chinese legal scholars defined it as "seducing large numbers of young men, or seducing foreigners and having sexual relations with them, exerting a very bad influence on society and causing serious consequences" or as "women's sexual activity deviating from the norms of social morality, undermining the management of social order.

In 1983, 53 percent of the prosecuted hooligan cases were in the "sex offenses" category, 38 percent were violent hooligan offenses, and 8.8 percent were for trouble-making.

In 1984, the respective figures were 79.4 percent sex offenses, 12.7 percent violent offenses, and 7.9 percent troublemaking.

In 1983, two unmarried couples who regularly left their Hunan village for illicit trysts in the fields were prosecuted as a "hooligan gang.".

According to the Supreme People's Court, the use of deception of other means to engage in sexual relations with a woman simply for the purpose of one's passing pleasure (toying withwanneng-women) could constitute a criminal offense.

For example, there was the case of a sixty-five year old radio and bicycle repairman who seduced seven young women aged sixteen to twenty-five. Although there is no indication that these affairs were anything other than consensual, the offender was sentenced to execution.

That's why China's communism is just another hardline ideology.

It's an ideology on its own similar to religion.

The hooliganism law was removed in 1997.

Ironically, this law was initiated during Deng Xiao Peng's attempts to reform China.

While many like to glorify Deng Xiao Peng for opening up China economically, Deng was actually not much different from Mao.

Deng actually still believed in central and tight autocracy and control.

The only difference is that Deng was much more practically and economically aware.

Stop using current morales in 1983

Remember, there is no internet, no GBA, no phones in 1983. They have a different set of morales compared to more modern people in 2021

from my reading, people in 1900-1950 kill each other and start wars, killing multiple millions of people and died due to the plague right after.

These barbarians are of a different generation, and are all but dead now. These scums and barbarians without internet have different set of morales than us, the modern generation.

Luckily they not so extreme anymore.

Meanwhile in this day and age, some other country deployed 122 officers to hunt 1 pandan.

US had apartheid and slavery. Some countries in the world still have both of these. You're living in a country that openly practices racial preferential policies. People are being hunted for wanting to leave a religion. So?
