So after this ordeal would you recommend Illegear over Alienware from Dell?

one of my friend uses illegear laptop and it is super noisy, i would recommend u to consider acer nitro 5 instead. wait for the RTX3060 series to arrive in malaysia

me having dell 7577 with 1060 ( bought at 6K)

but was wondering to upgrade to 3060
any rekomendations ? before dell rleases somtihng epic.

I've changed my mind

Now im tilting towards Legion 5i or Legion 5i Pro - all for the muted outlook which blends with work laptop 
Possibly Legion 7i......but lenovo malaysia still dont have 11th gen intel cpus

RAM faulty should cause spike, should be software.
check background software.

my opis PC, constantly have trendmicro scan for my nudes actively in the background, sometimes causing PC to freeze while ayam uploading backup to cloud     

just keep monitoring with task manager.
I have a 2500 Sandy Bridge system with same amount of RAM running Windows 10, no issues.
I have 10th Gen Core i5 company laptop, 16GB ram, once a blue moon have this issue, but perhaps because i switched off turbo to avoid that jet engine.
I suspect malicious software running in background.

its obviously TS is promoting illegear. Only fool will believe his story.  he got problem since Mar 2021, still talk about it until now? we are not the brand helpdesk.

can always do fresh install of windows and start clean.

sometimes it's just bloatware from "Gaming" brands

when it spikes, pay attention to the process that spikes, identify them, seek out root folders etc.
most of the time, it's stuff that snuck into your company

Check usable RAM in task manager, but I will put my bet on Android emulator, the virtualbox always memory leak after running for hours.

Yes, Android emulator run on VirtualBox, it is a virtual machine that running your Android system la.
If you only running like 1-3 hours of Android emulator, but your RAM keep 90%, the only thing you can do is.

1. Just keep reopen your Android emulator, ensure VirtualBox also shut down in the process.
2. Turn off Fast Startup to prevent the memory leak bring over to next boot of your system.(hibernate is not reboot/fake shut down)

Or, you just add more RAM to counter it la.
Memory leak by virtual machine is old issues that hardly can fix, so, yup.
