Dear moderators of LYN.Net,

It seems that there are unethical forummer trying to sabotage my sales by browsing through my thread and PM all my potential customers and pursuade them to buy from him/her. I would suggest that the moderators of LYN take action immediately because this is not the first case, I have PM-ed them and ask them to stop such nonsensical marketing strategy, however more and more customers have been complaining to me and I would like to stop these forummer before they successfully steal my customers.

Below are the proofs I gathered.

there is a grey area betweeen unethical and illegal
i suggest in your topics, u ask all your customers to enquire only via PM

Customer are entitle to ask general questions about the product I'm selling, so this is more convenient for them to reply me in FORUM than to PM me. However, its a good suggestion, I will encourage them to PM me for any enquiries. Thanks.

But, its still very very unethical to do sales by doing this. Its not fair to me. I hope moderators will consider to take action against them. (If you were me, you will understand)

This is business world. We can't do nothing much but just advice you. As we said, any inquiry can ask through PM.

Example, if you open restaurant outside, and another person open another restaurant just next to you, if they snatch, how to complain? Complain to the police?

We take another example, handphone in garage sales. You can see there are lots of choice and lots of seller.

Exactly, they can open a thread just above my thread and it will be okay. but instead, they browse through my thread and steal customers away. Like you own the restaurant, a new restaurant owner walks into your restaurant and steal your customers away... You like that? See... Its very obvious because this form of stealing customers is no longer competing to win customers, it is strictly STEALING.

I feel sorry for u....

But i have to be fair....
Its a business world where ppl will choose something cheaper over expensive...and many competitors will go behind your back to steal customer...

Its not really "illegal" nor "unethical" but atleast they waste efforts to find "potential" customers..

If im u, i'd get angry too and understand too...
But still its a dog eat dog's world out there..

Fyi, i did that b4 and trust me....sellers PM your customer is much better if they post in your thread....
If they post in your sales thread then u may report them...

I might not have done anything if he was just poaching your customers through PM, but he crossed the line when he started spamming in other peoples (unrelated) topics. Consider him gone.. for now

This is not 'the business world'. LYN is not your restaurant at a busy street or a computer shop at Lowyat Plaza. I believe this is a community which values ethics and integrity and this poaching is, in substance, no different from this poacher posting it the victim's thread advertising his own thread.

Its banned.

So, action will be taken?

Thank you moderators. Yeah, gone for now though! At least he/she learnt some lessons by the ban.

Good to know that the moderators protect sellers and buyers of this forum. They really do deserve to be moderators as they have a strong sense of right and wrong, SALUTE YOU! SIR, YES SIR!
