Does anyone know how to fix the hard disc tik tok sound ?
The hdd is generating tik tok sounds where accessing the drives. I tried to check/scan disc through windows tool but no error found.

any idea what is the issue? I did back up the data in case it damaged.

Just backup and change to new drive.

If create weird sound, it's a good warning sign. You can prepare new hard disk.

There's no fixing whenever HDD starts making abnormal noise. Don't blindly trust SMART or result from whatever diagnostic tool. It's time to transfer stuff to new HDD / SSD

Fast hdd will generate some noise, usually 7200rpm HDD is noisier than 5400rpm hdd such as lappy and portable hdd, if you still can access it means it's still working,

usually "click of death" means it's really dead. just google the keyword and see if the click sound is matching the click of death.

It's a sign of the HDD hardware mechanism failing. You can't fix unless you could find the exact same brand/model/version of the specific spare-part to replace it.

Backup your data then replace the HDD with an SSD

HDD is cheap nowadays, suggest to replace it before it fails you

pc or notebook? if pc, then try another sata power cable.
If the problem still persist, u may try that hdd on other pc again, or just simply replace with a new hdd .

can be happen due to lack of power supply to the hdd..
before anything happen just back up ur hdd while it still can be read

When heard sound from HDD, its time to backup all important data.
Its an inevitable doom. Anytime the HDD can go KO. Doesn't matter whats the software result are either. What you facing is MECHANICAL problem not SOFTWARE problem, and its normal if software can detect any problem.

SO i suggest backup it now, and get a replacement HDD.
