Any feedbacks for invisible grill, security mesh or glass curtain? I was planning to install one for my balcony before moving in as I'm currently have a 2 years old kid. Hopefully can get some idea before reaching out to the salesperson.

My concern as below:
Invisible grill: have air circulation, not sure long term the grill because rusty or the grill is slightly annoying

Security mesh: pricey, not sure whether comes without tinted option

Glass curtain: worried glass edges if open, fragile although it should be a tempered glass

Thanks

For condo or landed?
For condo invisible grille is good solution. The wire should be stainless steel wire will not rust.
The plastic insulation of the wire will have std type and a premium type is where they will upsell you lah.

If landed with no restriction on the look (façade), perforated metal mesh will still have very good insulation and prevent climbing over.
Perforated metal mesh also give some shading effect.

Glass curtain, unless you want to plant stuff it will add on more heat (greenhouse effect)

It is not true that stainless steel will not rust. Stainless steel can be 410, 306 and 316. Only 316 won't rust and that is usually so much more expensive.

It is a fallacy that stainless steel won't rust as most won't tell you what is the composition of their 410 or 306L steel.

For the prices they quote it should be around 306 wire. Only thing why it didn't took off (group buy discussion) was that the vendor didn't want to waive their nonsensical delivery fees in the few hundreds.

Forgot to state earlier, it is for condo. I'm quite keen with metal mesh for security reason but my husband doesnt happy with the $.

It is true that glass curtain will have greenhouse effect but we are quite keen to make the balcony as an additional room (depending on budget and feedback)

Recently I bought a stainless steel bottle for my kid. One day I noticed the stainless steel scrapped off and luckily the seller able to give me exchange. Now I really wonder how durable would be the invisible grill based on this incident.

If you can find one that made with 316L then no problem. I have seen similar product sold in SG market made with 316L. Rolex and luxury watches used to use 316L although now they are moving to 904L. 😬
