Hi all,

Is it better to use the Paint Removal liquid to remove the oil based paint on the metal surface? Or is it better to use sandpaper to sand off the paint?

What are the pros and cons of using Removal Paint liquid?

Pros more silent than sanding, just need light scraping

Cons.. VOC emission, cost, make sure it doesn't drip onto other places

If noise not a concern and space permit (ie flat surface and its accessible i.e not a grille with very small space design) u can use the wire brush attachment on drill/flap wheel sanding pad for grinder sand down.

Paint remover or old brake fluid just eat into the old paint and make it bubble up..u still need to scrape off. It doesnt come off like a waterfall laugh.gif after you remove the paint still need to wash off with soap powder to clean the metal off. Then you can paint on primer (red oxide) n finish coat.

True and you've to be careful with paint remover fluid. Please wear protective gear to protect your face and arm. I got some splashed on my face and it burned. Now, I feel all gangsta with scars on my cheek. Couldn't even show it off due to wearing mask outside.
