Today I received an invitation to place booking for Starlink which available in year 2022. Booking fee is USD 99 and refundable. Setup up kit cost USD 499 when available.

The service monthly fee is USD99 with expected speed 300Mbps this year. Limited number of users per coverage area. First come first serve.

ConnetMe is more likely a Yahudi price.

For 60GB cost RM198 ( speed 25mb)
For 100GB cost RM298 (speed 25mb)
For unlimited not available.

Comparing to Starlink

Unlimited cost USD 99 ( speed 150mb to be upgrade to 300mb)

By not comparing currency exchange for sure Starlink is much for cheaper compared to ConnectMe.

If you support ConnectMe, just go ahead to subscribe. For me, I prefer US service provider than our local service provider.

Starlink is the internet future technology. For those who don't have budget issue, you should go for this internet service. Important is that it is free from bad incident like broken undersea cable or sabotage just like recently people from anonymous group that sabotage the TM facilities which cause the whole northern region connection breakdown for many hours. Imagine how frustrated you are if you can't connect to internet for so many hours, you can't do your work, you can't watch netflix, iptv, etc.

Starlink will solve the rural area internet problem for those people who hunger for internet speed. They no longer need to climb tree to get better reception for study or attend exam.

I think they will submit Sirim and MCMC approval soon.

I am not sure is it illegal or not for internet satellite dish but I know is illegal for tv satellite dish other than Astro.

Checked that Starlink open for deposit not only in Malaysia but also other country like below and all same price with USD99 deposit.

2. Indonesia
3. Philippines

Others ASEAN country is not available.
