guys, seem poco f3 256gb variant seem no more stock or sell at expensive price.
mybe i will wait for f4. but again, then price would be more expensive than f3? although spec wise seem same except charging ,battery and ois?

im not sure where is ur source info. both should be use same 870 chipset. although f4 doesn't launch yet. but most website/leak did mentioned its the same chipset.

this part only correct for VOLTE. VOWIFI is diff.

before this, 2G will be use for voice call and where the 4G will be use for data.
so when you make call, ur phone will switch from 4G to 2G( hence no data), after you drop the call, it will switch back to 4G because the data only came from 4G, 2G dont hv data, only voice.
this is when VOLTE coming in, where in 4G, you can make voice call thru 4G, without drop to 2G. more bandwith on 4G mean ur call will be more clear, high quality calls.

where VOWIFI, is when you are in bad reception of the phone line but connected to wifi in ur house, ur call will go thru this wifi and to someone else phone. without need phone line reception. its good to have when ur area have bad reception either 2G or 4G but have strong wifi connection.

both require telco to enable this feature.

anyway, i just bought this F3 yesterday for the 6GB variant. seem like no more stock for 8GB or they didnt lower the price yet. some seller i see still use old price.
i cant wait for the F4 to be launch, with minimal changes but the price seem back to original price. so i think better just take F3.
hopefully no more issue with quality/motherboard as i heard poco got this issue. i have been using mi3 since it came out and have use other xiaomi model so far, no issue whatso ever except the redmi note power button.

when VOLTE, ur voice call go thru 4G/LTE line. not 2G. so when u in call, you are still connected to internet. mean u can browser internet while in calls.
in 4G/LTE, it will split between voice ( which will use the data as well, but not ur internet data quota) and ur data.( internet data quota).
so ur question "no data, switch to 2g" is incorrect. if you dont have data plan or internet data quota, you still can make call thru 4G/LTE, because its use voice data, not internet data.

its diff if ur telco or phone didnt support volte. your phone must switch to 2G when make call, because its cant go thru voice in that 4G/LTE.

but now due to no stock/hard to find 8gb/256gb, you only left with 6gb.
btw try search on lazada, last time i did saw 8gb/256 for rm1299 ( lowest i find exclude the promo price). but i bought the 6gb for my wife because im thinking she wont need that big storage or extra 2GB ram.

i think, you can try find any reputable seller that say original malaysia set, and ask seller for the warranty. if cover by xiaomi malaysia, then can buy that instead of waiting long time from oversea seller. remember check for the seller review 1st.

same. now no more stock in most of the seller in lazada/shopee. the one got stock, is still using old price which is not worth it.
even the 6gb, only left with few colors, not all available.

and my F3 that i bought last 3 week, still no where to be found, stuck with courier and mostly lost already as i already went to distribution center and ask the staff to find it.

seem need to wait for new phone. the new redmi with dimensity 8100 seem quite good but not sure when will enter malaysia.

mybe cheaper than retail price of F3 when it first came out. but i think wont be same price with current promo price of F3.

i just order my 2nd F3, 1st F3 lost in shipment by lazada after almost 1 month wait for it. . hopefully can get it by this week.
i have survey other models, but really cant find anything with sd870 or same performance with F3 price.

i just had poco f3 for a week. straight update to the latest MIUI 13 ( 13.0.3.0 to exact) once unboxing.
so mybe the issue already fixed in previous release.

so far i dont hv any issue. and i dont use the voice note.
but i just test like u did
- play voice note on whatsapp, lay the phone on desk. it will play the voice in loudspeaker, the screen not turn black. even if i put my hand closed the front camera or make it dark.

- play voice note on whatsapp, put the phone on ear, the screen go black and the voice play on phone ear speaker, same like when u talking on phone.

so the bug could already fixed on pocof3 like the version i told u. but on 11T, might not yet or u didnt update to the latest version yet.
based on what i know. MIUI on poco have lil bit diff because it use poco launcher instead of normal mi launcher.

true. i also want to try that dimensity 8100. but based on early review on youtube. the performance not same as realme gt neo 3 which hv same chipset, so could be it not optimized yet on the firmware.
if compare with benchmark alone, that 8100 should be more higher ranking than 870, almost reach 888. and gaming experience slightly below 8 gen 1.

price wise, for early bird, the diff just rm100.

8gb/256 rm1599 F4

its normal for each manufacturer to increase spec slightly on same series line up compare to last year because they already hv multiple other model that may cater ur requirement.

and i dont think F4 is similar as X4 GT. both using diff chipset, diff screen.

F4 also got dolby vision, upgraded liquid cooling tech 2.0. and if you want to buy 256 variant of F3, no more stock or the price also same as F4.


im not sure on poco, but on redmi, before this even tho the model is using same chipset, they wont give u update on older model.
but since poco mostly rely on redmi firmware, so could be same treatment.

get F3 if u want to save money, around rm1099 for 6gb/128GB ( average price now, cheapest when promo last time is rm949, even now stock left not so many for average price). 8gb/256 already sold out or the price way expensive better u buy F4.

if got extra budget,
go for F4 8gb/256 RM1599 early bird price.

in my miui 13.0.3, got bug on notification drop down. sometimes only show apps icon. no text

just got my self poco X4 GT yesterday. and F3 will give to my wife.

i would say almost same except for the brightness cant compare with amoled and the backlight bleed( which is normal for LCD). better to use amoled on dark room.
while under hot sun, i havent test yet . the review said amoled will perform much better than LCD. suppose to be so since spec also said the brightness is lower than amoled
last time i also scared because it use LCD instead of amoled. i already like amoled on F3 but if i go to LCD, seem like downgrade.
most review i found also they said this is the best LCD for a phone. well, most phone now came with amoled. so far i use it. seem good. except those 2 items i mentioned above.

sometimes even same version, when fully reset to factory settings also seem smoother

u need to check if ur powerbank AND cable support mi turbo or not.
