Good Day Guys,

had anyone encounter issues ordering the F3 from Shopee or Lazada?

Initially i ordered the phone from Shopee @ 8.8 sales. After waiting for 2 whole weeks, the order was finally cancelled and refunded by Shopee because it was "lost in Transit" in the local Hub. FYI, logistic partner is Shopee Express

Right after that, i reordered it from Lazada instead @ 25.8.21. I thought this would not happen again and boy was i wrong! Today is the last day of the promise delivery date. The parcel was stuck in the sorting center since 29.8.21!! I was told there are some logistic arrangement issues between POCO and our local logistic team. I can only escalate the case for further investigation right after the promised delivery date.. zzz

Same. I ordered during the 12 am flash sales at 25/8. Cleared MY customs on 29/8 and now stuck on "Your parcel will be handed over to LEX MY" since 29/8 19:00.

Check the get by date in Lazada, if it is over due, then need to press live chat to get them to process the cancellation
I am on Digi Prepaid, still showing VoWiFi

In use for about 1~2 weeks, very satisfied so far aside from proximity sensor not accurate sometimes.

One major improvement over my old phone is the ability to receive calls and SMS through home WiFi. My place coverage sometimes bad enough to not receive some calls and SMS (important for some online purchases).

rip battery,

20% low battery warning (or was it 10%?) came out, decided to leave it for later because busy morning but came back to a 0% battery.

probably doesn't hurt a lot in the long run but doesn't feel good, but I didn't expect battery to drain that fast even when I'm not using it sweat.gif

Yes sure I have enabled it, I believe my current EU stock ROM does not support Digi voWifi due to missing MBN in the configuration (similar issue like other phone model/brands)
*
Your wifi calling + volte setting appear by itself or you did the phone number code to disable vowifi carrier check for it to appear?

Mine originally did not work (don't have wifi calling + volte option).

I chat with customer service via the digi app to ask them enable volte on my number and after reboot volte and wifi calling option appear in settings.

Anyone getting ads returning after latest update? I remember using xda software to remove most bloatware and others I use example

Open MIUI Themes and tap the Profile icon in the bottom right. Step 2: Select Settings and toggle off Show Ads and Personalized Recommendations. MIUI also allows you to opt out of targeted advertisements.

I just tried open Themes it's showing lazada ads when I go to its setting show ads is turn off.
I just updated today. May I ask if yours ads returning (if you bothered turning it off). I just noticed ads in themes & cleaner both should have it turn off in their settings. I confirm it's turn off in my themes setting.
*
Recently 2~3 months ago got daily ads/recommendation from Mi Video almost everyday + some ads from another place/app every 1~2 times a month (long press the notif doesn't show which app/services it is).

Iirc I think disabled the Mi Video one when I first got the phone but seems to come back recently.

RIP screen, used Dettol wet tissue to "disinfect phone" after lending it to a coughing coworker.

Multiple green vertical lines on screen. Lesson learnt, luckily still can use and no ghost touch.

Just go to an official service center for diagnosis and see if you want to repair or not, they are quite fast from my experience (2 times both 1~2 days). If not expensive item then might consider repair.

Although you'll confirm burn RM30 diagnosis fee (rebated to final bill if proceed with repair).

if you are free, i suggest you visit the mid valley or lowyat plaza one.. but for lowyat plaza call them up see if they still operating, been years idk if MCO closed them down or not.
*
Lowyat one is still operating, that's where I went to replace my F3 screen recently.

They changed location tho according to my friend who frequents there, but still at highest floor where the usual service centers for various tech brands located.

How much $ to replace the screen? I'm wondering if I should swap to a new battery soon, battery health currently at 83%.
*
RM348 for screen + RM60 labor - RM30 diagnostic (RM 30 paid when handing over your phone).

I didn't replace battery but official service center follows standard prices so RM48.86, but likely 49+30+30 when in your bill. IE: Official screen price is RM347.90 but charged 348+30+30.

Damn OTA update for MiUi 14 until now still hasn't shown up. Slowpoke Xiaomi, might just manually update it.
*
You can get it by going Settings > Additional settings > Region

Then randomly pick country since most other countries got it already IE Singapore/Thailand/etc.

Then check for updates, it should appear. After download and update finish then can change region back to Malaysia.

Phone doesn't work well with Google Advanced Protection Program when I tried to activate this weekend due to how MIUI interfaces with NFC hardware security keys.

Google APP when activated forces hardware keys to login and will logout all existing sessions.

Apparently after some Googling, MIUI doesn't work well with YubiKeys NFC, resulting in authentication failure during login because it'll open up a YubiKey demo page when it's not supposed to.

USB-C doesn't work either because the login page will freeze up. Although you can activate APP on USB interface and lock yourself out from your phone since you can't login afterwards, so you'll need a PC to disable APP.

Thankfully can still login to PC to disable APP. I retested this process on a Samsung phone and it works perfectly fine. Just not on Poco F3 (don't have other MIUI phones to check).

Just sharing this for others to refer if they're considering Google Advanced Protection Program.

Still "No Updates Available" on MIUI 13.0.7
Did they forget to push MIUI 14 for Malaysia  biggrin.gif

(Yes I know I can manually sideload it)
*
Personal experience is that Xiaomi/POCO in Malaysia is usually the last batch to get major MIUI version updates. The occasional security updates are usually in time.

Previous phone Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro also need to use the region change to get updates after waiting months.

Based on your past experience in February 2023, is it they reset the phone after repair your display?
Yeah, just found out White2000 shared about that. Thanks
*
They'll ask you to reset the phone before handing over the phone at the counter. So not too sure if they do another reset after replacing the display.

How do you perform reset when your display is spoilt?
*
Vertical green lines but still functional screen so I reset normally. Not sure how to reset if display completely spoilt.
