You should try xiaomi.eu ROM (weekly).
Way better than global stock rom.

Fastboot version is available so no need twrp to flash it.

I bought this phone for my dad because of its longevity.
TOTL specs means this phone can last for 5 years+ of usage.

Buy full protection casing and screen protector and apply them on DAY-1.
Install GCAM if want better photos..

Screen protector is pre-applied out of the box.
However I prefer to change to "Ceramic Matte" SP. Much better than typical "tempered glass"

I also using that same case (your url link) + camera lens protector + carbon fiber (skin) for the backcover.
It looks amazing on white phone.

Try to find all of them in the same shop. So you can use the "Free Shipping" voucher (shopee).

It's 2022 bro.
Enable AOD (Always-on Display) in settings.

One of the best feature using OLED panel. It cost very little battery.
It won't burn your screen because the AOD moves every few seconds pixel by pixel.

I've been using 18.1 for few months and really love it. No headache with shitty MIUI.

Also can set refresh rate to 90hz. Enjoy the smoothness while cost little battery.

I immediately unlocked the bootloader when the phone arrived.
Flashing custom rom won't void the warranty as long you re-lock the bootloader with MiFlash.

One of the main reason I prefer lineageOS is the privilege of getting "Android Security Update" every month!

I might worded it wrong.
Let me rephrase,

If you unlock the bootloader, no your warranty will not be void.
However if you show up to a Xiaomi service center with an unlocked bootloader AND a custom ROM, they will consider your warranty voided.

TL;DR
Flash stock ROM (Global) + Re-Lock Bootloader when sending to Xiaomi Service center.

Not yet but interested. Maybe will flash when lineageOS no longer get update.

2 weeks ago, my F3 suddenly shutdown and can't be turn on or charge. Plug on PC no signal. Can't boot to recovery and fastboot mode.

Luckily still have warranty (March 2023 lol). Decided to send my phone to Service centre @ MidValley.

They said need to replace the main board. Data all will be gone. 3 days later they called me to pickup the phone.

A bit sad all my data can't be saved. Just happy the service is free of charge.


Reminder to all to backup your data everyday.

Edit : My phone bootloader is unlocked with custom ROM. They still accepted it for warranty.

Yeah I hope it won't happen again after the replacement.
Bought the F3 during promotion, 256GB/8GB for RM999. If it dies I don't feel huge lost from it.

The F3 has been awesome. So many support from custom ROM developers.
Wanting to grab the F4 GT but due to its lack of custom ROM support I hold my wallet.
