I bought a cheapo Poco F3 case that I want to give away to any fellow “Pahsang lang” here - given the current ban on inter district travel now preferably in the Bukit Tinggi/Botanic/Bandar Puteri Klang area. The item is new, I bought it but my phone never came - I’m one of those who preordered at launch on 27/3 and the item got lost in transit and I’ve gotten my refund, hahaha. The case is black in colour.

Not long, I think. Experiencing strange standby battery drain

If you check back the thread to around April when the phone was first launch, you will see a number of us being affected by the same issue during the preorder- including myself. I bought from Lazada then was told around 3 weeks later or so that the item was lost in transit and got a refund. Back then, it was with Lazada so it's kinda like an opposite of your situation.

Anyways, I pulled the trigger last night with Shopee coz of a RM100 HSBC voucher and will see if I will get my phone this round, or it'll be another refund case and thereafter I will assume the universe has spoken and I am not meant to own a Poco F3

I'll celebrate only when the phone is in my hands bro, hahaha...

My order has been updated to “shipped” with a tracking number (Shopee Express) so I think mine should most likely be on the way. Hope you get good news on your unit soon!

I think buying from Lazada takes a bit longer coz the phone will come directly from Hong Kong. Will take around 7-10 working days if not mistaken.

My phone has arrived… I’ll wait till after 15th September to power it on then, hahaha….

Finished setting up my Poco F3 yesterday and all is good so far. Also on MIUI 12.5.2 and everything is smooth and bug free at the moment.

My first impressions:

- All is good and smooth, but I'm no gamer hence I can't comment on that front.
- Tried a drive with Waze yesterday and GPS signal lock is good - relatively fast and accurate.
- On 120hz refresh rate, the battery life seems to be better during usage compared to my previous Redmi Note 10 Pro even though the RN10P had a bigger battery. Perhaps the SD870 is more power efficient.
- I unplugged my phone at 100% charge at 12.20am and this morning at 6.30am when my alarm rang the battery was still at 100% with all settings left as it is (no AOD and with DND on). Pretty sure Xiaomi is manipulating the software to give the impression that there is zero battery drain during sleep - like Apple does
- Speakers are good - loud and clear

Yet to try the camera and also the heat management with prolonged usage (a video call for example) so we'll see.

All in all, a steal for RM1299...

I think it'll be released in batches. I've not gotten any updates since 12.5.2 but so far I've got no issues so I'm good with this for now.

I’m pretty sure the phone will run great for the next 3 years minimum so no, it’s not outdated. That said though, if security and software updates are important for you, then you might want to look elsewhere coz Xiaomi is notoriously slow for updating older phones especially in the midrange segment given the sheer number of models they release in a year. That said, I concur with the opinion above, the SD870 is more than capable to handle most of the stuffs you can throw at it for the next 2-3 years.
