my fingerprint button hard to press now. but pretty good phone ngl. first batch owner here. other than that, battery start to getting bad. might switch over to vivo x100s pro this year. my policy usually is buy one budget bang for buck phone then next buy flagship phone alternating like this.  brows.gif
*
besides scanning FP, my lock/unlock button only pressed for 1) turning phone on/off or 2) restart phone

other than that i dont touch it at all. i fully utilize double tap to lock/unlock screen.

so my button still very nice kek. still very stiff to press and not loose2

btw, change battery at SC jer if got battery problem. very worth it if the phone still in good condition. cause this F3 still very much capable in 2024

i hate the new notification/control centre.. its forced ios style now right..

unlike now we can still choose the old type vs new type

Faced same issue last week.
Changed to on screen, rebooted and changed back to gesture. After that gesture works fine.
*
can test it after restarting phone? whether the bug comes back or not

Any good place to replace the F3 battery other than service centre?
*
i think SC is the best already leh, around RM110 only iirc.. RM50 for battery RM60 for labour..

guaranteed original, and workmanship should be decent from SC..

you buy outside NOHON also almost RM100 dy, then still need to DIY..

Any advice on phone that has damaged volume and power button?

And the phone frame is actually nampak some tiny crack, and the back plate is slightly popped open.

Suspect my dad his habit sat on phone or put phone is a pocket with other item caused the issue
*
phone frame got minor hairline crack is fine, can still use case and nothing will happen. Just be careful not to expose the phone to water/rain only..

just go change battery at SC. around RM100+- only, then it should solve the back glass bulging issue too.

if phone is still in good condition like screen and SOC not showing signs of issues or whatever.. then just change battery and continue using the phone till it KO.

The phone still functioning well. It's just he being a very rough user.

Will do dropby to SC to check. Can you guys tell me any SC location in KL?
*
if still functioning well, then just go change battery. RM100+- and then performance will be tip-top again.

At the same time while you're there, do ask about the frame/housing as well. If around RM100 also can consider if want to get a new frame.

But if dont do it also nvm, it should be fine. Cause by crack i assume you mean like hairline crack only right. Not like some parts of the frame is chipped off or missing already..

Also for KL, either lowyat plaza or mid valley.

EDIT: oh right forgot about your volume and power button issues too. see if they can replace those parts as well..

I repaired at Smart Phone repair outlet at damansara uptown for rm280 with 6 months warranty. Apparently, my mobo has issue and the technician there said Poco has many such issues.

did you find out how much it would have cost at official service center?
rm123 for the battery and ribbon cable. the cable is actually abt rm10.
*
WTA: did they reformat phone after changing the battery? Or can just change the battery without needing to do factory reset or whatever.

Thinking of changing my F3 battery soon at xiaomi SC as well

official xiaomi SC. if change battery only now should be around 109.80

Battery = RM45
Labour = RM60 + 8% = 64.80

sweat.gif broke my K40 Gaming screen again, stupid phone holder snapped mid-ride after hitting pothole while riding my scooter. 2 cars ran over the phone, now had to buy replacement for screen + cover back glass + camera lens, all total about RM180 from Lazada. At least this time I gonna fix it myself rather than sending it over repair for RM400. I also found a battery replacement on Lazada, branded NOHON for RM90 but maybe for next time I guess.

Had attempted to fix the trigger button on my own while replacing screen, but the metal pieces for the inside look all in place, still couldn't find what caused the trigger not fully open. Guess I'll just ignore it since still useable.
*
im surprised the internals or mobo all still fine after 2 cars ran over it lol

recently noted my f3's battery is starting to get bloated, and xiaomi service centre replied they no longer carry parts for this model since it's already EOL

did a google search and found several posts mentioning they switched from the BM4Y original battery to NOHON BM53 battery
anyone here manage to do this to their f3, especially while still on stock HyperOS rom?

cos other than the battery the performance of the phone actually still meets my need, no reason to change
*
bought NOHON battery before for my other Xiaomi phone not on F3.

Using it no issues. Just make sure buy original from official store
