Haha, those who triggered over a phone is really sensitive.
Some even said it's just mild inconvenience in most.
Maybe they are living in 2077 using the phone differently.

Ya pretty funny when I'm interested in f3, ask feedback in the forum not a single f3 user mention this issue. Maybe they are using the phone in next level that don't even call ppl anymore. Luckily I find out before pull the trigger.
Like I said earlier, it really is a mountain out of a mole hill you are making. And like other posters said is true, F3 owners the one using it daily dont even make noise about it yet you are here just surveying and making it like a deal breaker to get this phone.. But it not my problem and not my money, that's why I have not been replying you. If you feel all the specs the F3 comes in becomes not worth it because of this 1 thing then its your loss not mine. Me and other F3 owners happily enjoying the phone, and hell if we want to complain about bugs we have OTHER bugs that are MORE annoying than just this hill that you insist on dying on.
Yes the issue exists, but I can confidently say out of 10 calls i make, 8 or even 9 of it no issues. and the 1 time it happens, it is a very EASY quick fix of just shifting/tilting the phone slightly to get it detected.
Eventually you will learn how the phone's sensor behaves and you will know how to make calls or hear voice notes with/without triggering it purely through muscle memory.
EDIT: and as others have mentioned, on MIUI 13 update it seems the prox sensor issue fixed already. I have not updated to it because MIUI 13 doesn't have forced dark mode for apps. See, now THAT is more annoying.
