Signed a pre-wedding package from Manhattan Bridal.
Feb 2019
1. Contacted Manhattan Bridal to make an appointment for our photoshoot, but could not be contacted. The company was shut down without informing us(Very irresponsible of them since we have paid for the package in full).
2. After days of searching online, I managed to find out that they changed the company name to MUSES OF MEMORIES.
3. The new company then set an appointment with a Taiwanese photographer in Taiwan.
3. They informed us that the photographs could only be chosen in KL, and not in Taiwan. Its not what they have told us when we signed up for the pre-wedding package.
Dec 2019
1. We flew to Taiwan.
2. We met a photographer named Nick Huang. While he drove us to a bridal shop to choose the gown, he told us that if we find it a hassle to fly to KL to choose the photos, we can pay another RM2000 and he will send all the copies to us (which we do not agree).
3. During the photography session, I was dissappointed with the makeup artist (MUA) . We did outdoor photography but she never followed us. One location was on top of a hill, and instead of following us, she waited down the hill while playing with the water. Another location was at the outdoor studio, and she just stayed in the changing room while I saw all the other MUAs were following the customers around.
Jan 2020
We contacted the photographer to set a date to choose our wedding photos. We told him we would like to set a date sometime in February 2020 but he keeps on giving excuses that his company was not available on the dates we chose and only available in April 2020.(we think he purposely did this so that we give in and pay him the RM2000). Because of MCO, the date was again postponed.
Dec 2020
1.We contacted the photographer 2 weeks before we plan to fly to KL, and he said, OK. Before that, we already asked our friend to check on the company. Apparently, the company has been closed down but the photographer did not say anything about it.
2. Because of COVID-19, we spend $$ to take swab tests before flying. We reached KL on Monday, hoping that the photographer will tell us the location to choose the photos and bridal gowns.
3.The next day, we waited for his message, and he said, the company is not available so he postponed our meeting to Wednesday and did not even give any location and contact number.
4.On Wednesday, around noon, he contacted us and told us that he just realized that the company is closed on Wednesday.
5. When we asked about the location of the shop and whom we needto contact in KL, he refused to give any location and any contact numbers.
6.Because of him, we risked our health, wasted our time and money because we missed the flight on Wednesday and bought new tickets to go back the next day, which was double the original ticket price. He apologised(as if) and told us that he will send us all the copies to us the following week since he is on a business trip.
Jan 2021
1. He has not send send us any photos on the designated time.
2. He kept on postponing and giving lame excuses like "Sorry, I am on a business trip." OR "I didn't receive your message because my phone broke."
3.Week after week, we kept on messaging him via Whatsapp and Instagram but he did not reply.
Update Feb 2021
Still no reply from him. And this case is already been reported to KPDNKK. Hopefully further action will be taken.

I hope, anyone who read this post will learn something and be aware of the companies or any photographers you are working with. Bridal companies often have "creative" marketing strategy to fork out more money from you.
