Remind me not to buy a used phone from you bro, hahaha..

For me personally, I think it’s rather disingenuous from manufacturers to have IP68 rating on their phones and yet explicitly state that water damage is not covered by warranty hence I end up every bit as careful with my Samsungs and iPhones as I am with my non-IP certified phones. So not having IP certification is alright for me, as long as the price is fair, and Xiaomi has that in spades.

Ditto, my sister over confident with the IP rating on her Samsung and wash the phone regularly. One time some water sipped in and KEK the display IC got burnt. Another time is her Note9, the charging port also detecting water resistance issue, luckily the inside is still fine.

That’s what she used to believe too, KEK.

Nowadays, I tell her to use alcohol spray or wipe instead. At least alcohol isn’t as conductive as water.

Hey guys, ang moh in Penang here. New to these Xiaomi phones...but need a new phone.

Currently have a Pixel 3a. Should I upgrade to a Xiaomi 11 or a Oneplus? Sounds like there is a new Oneplus coming soon? Should I wait?

I don't know shit about phones...

Xiaomi is more suitable for those which are geeky and know what’s happening to their phones.

As Xiaomi tends to mess up their software updates (buggy) from time to time, if you’re not a tech savvy enough, it might leave some bitter taste in the user experience to you.

As for ads in UI, actually they didn’t done it so. They put ads in their stock apps like Browser, Cleaner, file manager and etc. Most of them can be disable once and for all in respective settings, by disabling the “recommendations”. Though the stock browser did pushed some Xiaomi new launching ads to me recently, there by I’m suggesting don’t use the stock apps whenever possible.

wow confusing

Not really, Poco F2 was Redmi K30.

Basically Xiaomi don’t launch their Redmi K-series outside of China, most of the time Poco series take charge for global market under the same phone models.

wonder why they didnt bring the 8gb variation into malaysia , that version macam tak sampai rm4000
*
One major limitation of Xiaomi phones are they don't bother to give USB3.0 and above.

Those big RAMs only sound practical when you go for desktop mode and running extra big programs on both desktop mode and on your phone.

Without desktop mode, 8GB is more than sufficient for most people.

guys, how frequently does xiaomi update their flagship phones? Every month?
*
Every 2-3 months, except if there's severe bugs they might speed up in between to fix it.
