More lasting than my Samsung Washing machine which the board gave up 2nd year.

Btw mine is 8kg quite standard, nothing to shout about and still working. No fancy music, song or visibility of remaining minutes before done.
4th year still going strong.

I still consider as known brand from Hong Kong if not mistaken.

Had one at parent house floated in big flood few years ago. After that my brother just opened it spray water to clean all the mud inside including inside motor. After that just ran fine. The control board was potted in clear potting material. So, no water damage.

I have a rule.

Don't buy Chinese Trojan horse junk and goods.

You will regret it. Spend some extra money on a proper non-chinese made brand.

During flood water was chest height. The washing machine is not floating standing but laying on its side. Even the control panel was full of mud. I cleaned it with water.

It was mold with epoxy (called potting) for water proofing. I' in electronics industry. Well versed on this.

We had Electrolux for 10years, worked well, then one of the board needed change, we could have spent on it, but decided to go alittle bigger hence went with Hitachi, since their warranty was longer. Been working well for the past 8yrs now.

I dont think there is such a thing as best brand, but some brand do produce good model, but that doesnt mean all their range of models are equally good!

To me, basically I list down my preferences, such as washing timing adjustments, hot/cold, number of rinse, load, warranty, etc. Then I source for a product that closely meets it. Again depending on budget jugak la! biggrin.gif

At my previous rented place, I split with my landlady on buying a Midea 7.5kg Top Loader back in late 2014. Can't remember the price but bought from Lazada around RM600.

Don't have pic of it but looks like the model already discontinued. Only sad part is no detergent tray or place so need to taruk inside the tub with the clothes before I start washing.

We use it like 4-5 times per week but still working fine until I left the place last December.

Also even on delicate mode... it spin way too fast so it already tarik so many baju until got hole. sweat.gif

Have used Midea washing machine before.

It'll get the job done, but don't expect it to be ummm, how wud I describe this "high-quality endurance?"

Used it about 3 times a week, less than few months already got rattling sound. So, I'm trying to say is, the washing machine doesn't stay like 'newly bought performance' very long.

But it is still alive after 3 years of using it before I sold it.

But the one thing I like about this washing machine is that it is very powerful. You can overload it and the whole thing can still spin like a torrent (talking about its wash cycle, not 'spin' cycle).

TLDR: It'll get the job done. But if you wash every day, I dunno man....for student can lar. Also if you live in a flat, also need to consider. Afraid you also like me, less than few months already got rattling sound, kenot wash at night time lol.

Not necessary, some top load can be more expensive than front load. You have any concern on the washing machine size? If size doesn’t matter, just choose based on the feature which you need. Example, some top load able to do hot wash but those cheaper one usually cannot

7.5kg very small not really good, at least get a bigger one. These days all washing machine are pretty much made with plastic materials, will eventually break within 5 -8 years.
Now some manufacturer claim that it comes with 10 years warranty. The truth is your electronics can be 1 year, the digital display also 1 year, the plastic housing material 1 year warranty, the mechanical part 10 years all only 1 time claim

Can buy any brand except garbage from Samsung and LG.

DO not buy washing machine from this 2 brand.

Spend 5k for washing machine also kong in less than 2 years..

Useless Korean junk.

Stick with any Jap or China brand.

imo, panasonic is lousy too. my xp:
- auto water leveling (set by detecting my clothes weight) too low.
- the tub goes out of balance suddenly. i suspect something is wrong with 1 of the "suspension bar".
- fails to remove the accumulated chunks of dirt (after washing) via its filter (even when the machine was new)

Give other brands a try, your bad review is quite subjective, I find all new top load model auto water leveling is low because promoting water saving
Chunks of dirts I don't think any other similar washing machine can do any better, tough dirts always need intensive cleaning to clean by hand, no washing machine
have guarantee dirt cleaning to date, its only about which better than the other which I believe very minor difference unless hot water feature might make little bit more differences.

Tub goes out of balance suddenly sounded like temporary, if it goes bad it goes bad, it doesn't goes bad in a while, if still under warranty better claim from them.

I have the same model.
if you got more money better dont go for this model...I’ve been using it almost a year.Sometimes it will suddenly stop like gear stuck when I wash the clothes and I need to manually continue. This issue usually happen when I wash almost full load

thanks for ur sharing...will take into consideration

7.5kg very small not really good, at least get a bigger one. These days all washing machine are pretty much made with plastic materials, will eventually break within 5 -8 years.
Now some manufacturer claim that it comes with 10 years warranty. The truth is your electronics can be 1 year, the digital display also 1 year, the plastic housing material 1 year warranty, the mechanical part 10 years all only 1 time claim

guess also depends luck as some ppl can use thing up to 10 years
for my fam is actually just nice for 7.5 or 8kg..due to the space designated for it is not that huge hence can't go for bigger one

Can buy any brand except garbage from Samsung and LG.

DO not buy washing machine from this 2 brand.

Spend 5k for washing machine also kong in less than 2 years..

Useless Korean junk.

Stick with any Jap or China brand.

I have a rule.

Don't buy Chinese Trojan horse junk and goods.

You will regret it. Spend some extra money on a proper non-chinese made brand.

i guess likely to fail first is the pcb, u have 3 years warranty for that. touch wood anything go wrong after that, you can find a replacement board for around RM100.

Is it normal for midea front load to make high pitch noise during spin?

Washing is ok, during spinning 5 minutes last, the sound made is too shrill.

I'm first time using front load at home, usually only at coin laundry
