I've just installed Adobe CS3 from my friend's original DVD. But the thing is after I keyed in the serial number I have to activate it online. Otherwise after 30 days i won't be able to use it anymore. Is there any way I can "get rid" of this activation process? Hehe~~ I'll be so dead without Photoshop... :-(

£47.50 for AppleCare is dirt cheap!  It's not applicable to post graduate students is it?

I purchased mine with UK HE discount

they offer the ACPP for almost £60 (including tax) for my macbook pro but if you read properly that is only a lift up for your UK HE contract where you get phone call service and delivery. If you order online you can get 3 years warranty if i not mistaken. The ACPP is just for a peace of mind

I got my MBP with free ipod promo last year (just after leopard launch)

*sigh* really want Macbook Pro, but WAY to expensive... not that i cant afford but never used Mac before, so for me to get a MBP is waste... need to start low first... either MB or iMac...

Well, I've bought my MB 2.2 in end jan and eversince, i've no regrets in buying it. In fact, I'm gonna get an Imac soon, hopefully.

The speed is just amazing, let's just say the booting time is less than 30 secs and my xp, well it takes almost 5mins!!!! Henceforth u will spend more time in being more productivity rather than just wait for your pc to wake up!!!!

As for the OSX, Vista is definitely a loser as my gf notebook is running vista, it's super slow..... till i dozed off awaiting it to boot up.

I asked Machines if its possible to upgrade my specs, and they said that they would need to order it for me and it would take about 4-6 weeks. Coz i was thinking of getting a white MacBook but with 250GB hard disk... Dont really like the black... It looks alright from the top, but the keypads and all dont really look nice in black... However, they couldn't give me a price estimate...

Maybe he scared he might do something wrong. I won't upgrade mb by myself as well. If something goes wrong and mb goes kaput, waste 4000 just like that.

Hi, my friend got a MB 2 weeks ago. He complaint Office for Mac launching slow on his machine. I am thinking of getting 1 MB too but was discouraged by this new finding.
