er guys should i get a Macbook(entry level) now?? pls reply because pc fair on this friday...

all this rumors bout the new macbook.. the new 13.3' LED display.. i'm not sure if the upgrade's for the new ultraportable or the current MB.. steve jobs said all display will be upgraded to LED by the end of 2008.. so the LED should be an upgrade for the current MB and not ultraportable right???

also i read somewhere that apple's getting rid of the white plastic macbook currently has and replace them with aluminium finish.. true or not???

arhh so many rumors.. should i wait for Macworld Expo on Jan 15 and buy it when they clear all those rumors up??

macbook has only two usb ports which is way too little.. last time i bought a wireless mouse which got a big freakin usb receiver and i couldnt pug in another usb since the ports are built cosely together, so annoying..

so my resolution for now is, get a bluetooth mouse, and a firewire 400 HDD

http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel...aspx?i=3195&p=3

Quote from the article:

"With a 1.2% increase in performance due to Intel’s DAT, we can’t really get excited about this technology. It’s very rare that it will be working, and when it is the 7.7% increase in clock speed just isn’t enough to increase performance significantly at all. It looks like Intel’s DAT is more of a gimmick rather than something to get excited about."

looks like the new penryn isn't really that great..

yup no virus attack is like the best argument for buying a mac.. just scare your mom how your friends had to reformat their pc and lost all their important data on their pc.. and macs are less likely to crash unlike xp and vista (i get 4-5 crashes a week using XP) and none on mac.

bout the design, yeah its kinda pretty b4 you own it, but after that when u're using it everyday, you just get used to it and just you wait a couple months more, your macbook will turn yellowish with stains all over and its so ugly and disgusting unless you protect it with casing and stuffs.

i leave my macbook 24/7 sometimes for dl and its still fine

@seale_navy,
looks like you have to choose xps 1330 now huh? its not that bad either since dell's after sales service is really good. some people just don't understand how mac is better than windows cause they're afraid to change. they'll rather go for the safe side no matter what you convince them. i totally understand it. so when you're finally earning your own money, buy your own mac. dont be so sad cause after using mac after a while, it won't be such a novelty anymore, you'll find out that windows and mac have their good and bad sides.

I am using a Cooler Master notebook cooler as well with my MBP. Not too bad and I also want to get more RAMs for it smile.gif

macbook need cooler kah? my fren told me tat cooler useless coz theres no air vent at macbook's bottom, so air cannot get in.. the only way air can get in is through the keyboard. is this true? this statement make me not dare buy keyboard protector, scared block the air going in
