Yesterday I was encoding flvs' into mpeg4 with iSquint and my MB's temp spiked to 90-ish Celsius with the fans running at 6200 RPM. Had to turn on the air con to drop the temp to about 70-ish Celsius.
*Edit* Mac has just made my jaws dropped. Just now, out of curiosity I disconnected my modem from my PC and stuck the Ethernet cable to my MB. Before I can even finish saying my name I was back online and my deluge which was running via Parallels was running at 140 kb/s. AND I DIDNT HAVE TO INSTALL ANY FREAKING MODEM DRIVERS!!!! Literally 'plug' and surf!! This post has been edited by sugarboi: Jul 27 2008, 02:10 AM |

How sad. Mine was the one before Santa Rosa. Bought it in the middle of 2007. Is it worth changing my current 2 x 1 GB RAM into 2 x 2 GB RAM? I know only 3.25 GB is usable but how much of a difference will the additional 1.25 GB make for everyday normal use?
