a question here, why is everybody rating the Apple RAM so highly? Are there any differences between the Apple RAM and other RAM?

Bro, wondering how much is ur logitech bluetooth mouse? Tq.

Got it at a fairly cheap price, 170 if I remember correctly. tongue.gif

QUOTE(allvin @ Jan 27 2008, 06:10 PM)
the main reason is Apple ram are 100% compatitble with apple product (of cos la) and it is tested by Apple or some-sort. On the other hand, 3rd party ram *might* have problem. If you very very *soi* or unlucky, you will get the WSOD or kernel panic once you insert the 3rd party ram. Well, normally it turns out to be "fine". I use corsair brand in my macbook wink.gif
*
I don't know about that as from my observation, most people chuck out their original RAMS once they've got their MB. 1.5Gb sufficient? tongue.gif

Maybe it's just me. And I'm one of those lucky ones. Hahaha

Thanks. Yeah, sure is weird, but it's consistently repeatable in my case. Everything else is running fine as far as I can tell. Also can't find anything else on the web that mentions about this. Guess I should bring it in for a check... but can't bear having my baby taken away from me for a week or two if turns out to be a genuine issue...
*
I remember seeing such issues from some users on the net, not sure about the problem though. Perhaps you should send it to check

@lilredridinghood,
You know in the past when Ur in print preview, U have this setting where U can set it to view margins and make adjustments of margins from that page?  Well, it's not available anymore!

I've just uninstalled the Student Teacher edition and am now using the Standard Edition - don't think there's much difference though *sigh*  Need to figure something out on the print preview - it makes work v difficult sad.gif
*
sounds fishy tongue.gif

I don't think I have such problems, but again, I don't use MS Office that often, at least not yet.

Quote from the article:

"With a 1.2% increase in performance due to Intel's DAT, we can't really get excited about this technology. It's very rare that it will be working, and when it is the 7.7% increase in clock speed just isn't enough to increase performance significantly at all. It looks like Intel's DAT is more of a gimmick rather than something to get excited about."

looks like the new penryn isn't really that great..

honestly, other than the 120GB HDD space, I don't see why I should feel gutted for missing out on the penryn chipset MB.

dood... get HP... dont get Dell... using Dell PC for 5 years now (i think, more or less 5 years) and have Dell printer for about 2-3 years... At the moment, Dell printer doesnt detect colour ink anymore, and detects black in but cant print with it (basically, cant print AT ALL)... PC also sent for repair twice oredi coz cooling fan malfunctioned both times... i brought to PC shop and they told me its spoilt, i thot they trying to make quick cash, but a few days later it spoilt...

sent them an e-mail and they still dint reply yet... get HP dood... easier to get HP accessories too compared to Dell... must order everything! (or go to that ONE shop they have in Megamall)...

im not trying to convince u... just advising...
*
on the contrary, i have a different opinion, I'd say get Dell instead of HP. Compaq to be precise by the way, but same manufacturer, no? My Presario's MB went off twice, once during warranty period, then 4 years later which made me ditch that notebook. The same happened to another 2 mates of mine.
