kapalterbang_737, have you performed any software update yet? i had the similar problems like yours last few weeks ago with my MBP. Safari hangs in several occasion which bothered a lot to me. So far the problem has been solved through software update and yet to see any related problems occur.

kapalterbang_737, ntg to do with bootcamp  I running cool with bootcamp, and My safari don't have such issue. For the sound issue, I suggest you go to the apple store and have them check it.

Usually only 3 sound you can heard, one is the Fan (especially when you gaming), another 1 is hdd (barely can heard, usually i heard it once it booting) and last one is your optical drive (during playback dvd or vcd)

Hi user of Macbook.

I have some doubts in my mind and hope that macbook user can help me to answer all my doubts.

1. Is this a good time to grab macbook ? Or should I proceed to Macbook air ?
2. Let say I take 2.0Ghz Macbook, it comes with Combo drive and not DVD RW. Can I add some cash to change it ?

Beware! apple newbie about to post.  

I'm considering getting a macbook or macbook pro for uni studies.
The price diference is really BIG between the MB and MBP, so i'm wondering if the mbp is worth the money. 9k isn't petty cash by any means.  
I'm interested in a little photo editing as well as light-gaming, and i'm wondering if the MB with it's Intel GMA X3100 graphics processor is sufficient for that. I'm also curious about the real difference in performance between the MB & the MBP.

Besides that, apple bundles in Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard, iLife, Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac Test Drive and iWork '08 (30-day trial). Does this mean i have to go purchase the Microsoft Office and iWork software? if so, how much would that hurt my wallet and is it a definite MUST to purchase the Microsoft Office to do word processing in university? If iWork is sufficient, is the format Microsoft Word and Excel use compatible with the iWork? coz it's really essential that i can do my assignments and co-op wif other Windows users.

Not enough RAM. Spend ~RM180 and get 2GB RAM extra and you'll see a *huge* difference.

We can buy other rams and fit it in the apple? cos their charging roughly bout rm 619 for 2 gig. and for macbook, how much ram can i fit in?

kingston and muskin? Is it ddr 667 also? or higher performance ram? Is there a fear that warranty will be voided?

and don't forget.. Corsair Brand   

Did you install your firmware correctly?
Try reformatting. I've seen quite a number of units with the same prob.
