£47.50 for AppleCare is dirt cheap! It's not applicable to post graduate students is it?

Applicable to whoever is connected to a higher institution in the UK, students, lecturers, tutors. Plus the web didn't ask for any proof of ID, simply put in your university name and voila! But of course you can only go to the HE website via a UK uni network, it doesn't work with the normal internet line.

hey easypeasy, how about buying an ACPP for your fellow mate here...

can he do that? another ACPP for another mate here, cheers!
IIRC the people in macrumors said the Macbook comes together with the protection plan (Free I think, it's under the UK HE national agreement). £47.50 is the contract uplift, meaning they'll cover the cost for collect & return I suppose (it stated EMEA-CC, I don't know what it means). So from what I understand is you need to buy a Macbook/Pro/Air first before you can get the free ACPP and the £47.50 contract uplift discount. The cheapest single ACPP under HE discount is £157.45 for Macbooks and £220.90 for Macbook Pros. Normal price is £199 and £279 respectively.
