Looking for a hub to expand the ports on my laptop. Plan to plug in my wireless mouse (G304) and keyboard (G613) into this hub. I read that there would be no difference when using a Powered USB hub and plugging directly into the PC. Can anyone confirm ? Currently eyeing ACASIS Hub from Lazada https://www.lazada.com.my/products/free-plu...i992046823.htmlI've tried using the USB ports on the monitor for the dongles, not viable due to lag. QUOTE(fireballs @ Feb 21 2021, 08:33 PM) If just for mouse keyboard then even the cheapest rm2 hub will do dosen't work for me. I tried using my monitor USB, and also U-Green USB hub (not powered). Both will cause the mouse and keyboard to lag.

Power is not the main issue, it’s the bandwidth.
I have an Orico USB hub which is functioning fine normally but when I plug USB3 HDD/thumbdrive to it, the bandwidth will get bottlenecked and start to lag other wireless mice/keyboard.

I have the TP-Link UH-720, 7-port powered hub plus 2 charging ports. Works well. I used it with my MacBook Pro and now with my Mac mini. All ports occupied. Mouse, keyboard, webcam, HD, SSD, USB mic and music keyboard.

QUOTE(corad @ Feb 22 2021, 12:09 PM) thanks, but does it work just for the wireless mouse and keyboard ? Are the mouse and keyboard wired or wireless ? Low bandwidth (only a wired keyboard and a Logitech mouse receiver) worked totally fine. The hiccup only happen when I further plug other USB drives to it.
