The recently released new Apple TV app is not available for Sony TV, they have their own Apple TV app which need Sony to release firmware update to support the Apple's DRM.

You can sideload the new app & login but can't play the content. It will give DRM error..

Only some Sony TV 2017 & newer model that has received firmware update in 2021 but didn't receive the Apple TV able to use the new Apple TV app by sideload.

Here's how to differentiate the apps:-
Apple TV - Google TV & Android TV
Package name: com.apple.atve.androidtv.appletv

Apple TV - Sony TV(Google TV & Android TV)
Package name: com.apple.atve.sony.appletv

I tried the Sony apk version sideload. As you said it has error and ask me to update. BraviaX8500E version won’t be getting Apple TV I guess

That's expected. Sony need to update the TV with newer fimware first that has the required DRM for Apple TV app..

Maybe can try to watch on TV web browser.
Iinm, Sony TV comes with pre-installed web browser on their Android TV or you can try JioPagesTV browser which is built for Android TV with EME(Widevine) support..

Someone did test the latest app & doesn't work..
The only way to have the app working is by updating the TV firmware..

The Bravia Core has nothing to do with Apple TV app. It is a separate service provided by Sony Pictures.
Also, the service is only available on new Bravia XR model & not available for Malaysia.

I am new into this discussion. Might be a bit late.

Does anybody know which model or brand is using IPS technology? I read most TV are using VA panel and scouting thru many models in shopee and laz most of the sellers don't indicate what are the panel use.

For example MI TV P1 55", they never indicate what type of panel using. I can only guess it is LCD?

Would like to get some comment on below:

Is this TV good?

I could never figure out what 65" 55" TVs, etc. mean, some incomprehensible numbers that say some kind of characteristic. When I bought my Samsung QN800 Neo QL 65, it was explained to me that this turns out the size of the TV is 65 inches, which was unusual for me to understand. I am a humanitarian and it is much easier for me to perceive centimeters, so I converted these units with cm-to. If you ask me about history or literature, I can talk to you about it all day long, but math, it's too complicated for me.

I hate that all the world uses inches to measure TV, smartphones, etc. I am really got used to the cm and meter metric system and I have to convert inches and feet every time I hear about them.
*
Why do you need to convert? Most of them still list the dimension in metric. Only use imperial for product description like 50" or 75".
