"Kek, kKE" is the hard disk's way of saying goodbye. Time to break the bank for a new unit.

Getting Started

|
or try to use the windows xp cd to repair the window by -chkdsk after choose the windows repair by R..this wont format your windows, have a try before you throw away the hard disk.
if the harddisk got sounds, means ur fren's HD almost gone. This can happen if your fren shut down the pc not properly always which will harm the harddisk.

Can you detect the hdd in BIOS? Or you can try the hdd tools from manufacturer like maxtor. the last resort is to use the low level disk format but based on your "Kek, kKE" sound, better backup all thing and look for new hdd.
