I live in Setia Alam My office is at Sg Buloh I use either NKVE or GCE daily The distance is a lot so I’m going quite fast usually
Car is Honda City Original rims sizes at 185/55/16
Tires used Toyo Nano Energy 3 = so so only, not much confidence on higher speeds and raining grip is average. Good Year Triple Max = I think those were the original ones when I bought the car, average performer but thinking back probably abit better than the Toyo.
Currently only 1 side has unusual wear so need to replace 2, was thinking finding a decent brand and continue with all 4 with the same size.
Friends recommendation are Rovelo A1 Dunlop Formula d05/06 Toyo TR1
More important for me is grip, I don’t mind to trade off on getting poor thread wear as I change tires almost yearly at around 15 months mark.

Probably getting the TR1 as it seems this size and price range I don’t have much choice, mostly stuck with economy and eco-friendly range.
After that probably upsize to 205/45/16 as it seems more common

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Feb 20 2021, 03:38 PM) This size doesn't have much option for good grip high performance tires, maybe only that Toyo TR1. Others are touring category tires like the GY ATM2, BS Turanza, or Michelin XM2, or that Dunlop Formula. Yes, you’re right. Only “proven” is TR1, then also this is the version 2 introduced few years back isn’t the same as the original with v groove. I suppose I change two TR1 then upsize the rims later on for bigger donuts.
