from 10700f+ b460m mortar combo; the msi z590-a with 11400f combo seems more "practical" in feature support, only losing out on audio quality
not gonna oc CPU. ram maybe to ddr 4000 or just maybe keep to 3600 CL17.

coming from a 4790K. but then again the single core gains are like only 20% (4790k vs 10700f) and from research/videos upgrading the GPU (GTX 1070 currently) to say a RTX 3080 for 1440p gaming gives the most performance/cost uplift (at msrp of course - i can wait). not into encoding or streaming etc.

really? I loved my motherboard's onboard sound, it drive my beyer dt770 pro 250 ohm very nicely

2X16GB single sided should all be DJR. 2x8GB single sided should all be CJR. I think they EOL both the MFR and AFR dies already.

Which now makes me wonder... since their value ram also uses these hynix dies, probably poorly binned. But if smack on a nice heatspreader and crank up the voltages. Wonder how would they perform at a fraction of the price.

but 8 core and the skylake bugs present in it, hmm unless you absolutely want one cheap. I think 11600k is better if it isn't too expensive

skylake's threading bug wont haunt the 10700F.. so if budget is really tight, 10700F is still a very good deal. However might as well topup 350 for a 11700F and cut cost from somewhere... like not using RGB for example.

It's not gonna affect a general user. good for those on a tight budget. Can't go wrong with that; 8 cores for 1.1k

I use on-board ALC1220 for gaming because combined with AutoEQ+HeSuVi, it give me very good directional in 7.1 supported games.

As for video from web browser (Youtube and FB etc), I just use the crap Acer monitor built in DAC (via DisplayPort) and speakers.

I also use Schiit Stack mainly for music and non-competitive games.

So yeah, I do wish my next board will at least have a ALC1220 so too bad all of the budget B560 boards doesn't have it.

me who use surround sound has a bigger problem with finding budget USB 5.1 sound solution . all my speakers are connected to my onboard audio.

Back on topic, ALC1220 and ALC4080 are good codecs. A lot of snobbish audiophiles don't want to admit it because ego would be bruised if a $400 mobo outperforms their $2000 DAC.

lol i remember at the AV fair, some expensive setup doesn't sound that good, while one rm4k small speaker's setup sounded heavenly without snake oil cables or power stabilizers. It got so much booking ahaha

11400F & 11400 reviews started coming out that showed it thrashed the ryzen 3600 by 10-20% in gaming. I wonder how long the effect will show on the stocks at the shop lol

always tempted to get their mobo, but my preference is still MSI/Gigabyte, third is Asus.
