QUOTE(AnAngel65 @ Feb 17 2021, 04:19 PM)
Im 26 years old and currently wearing anti-fatigue glass of around 700 degree.
Due to my working requirement I face computer more than 8 hours a day. My degree was increasing starting 3 years back, and hence start using the anti-fatigue lens and also monitor my daily eye usage. I take eye supplement, and TRY TO look far every half an hour. My lifestyle is always sleep early and wake early type so I do have enough sleep.

I went to specialist to check my eyes and the eye condition is healthy, doctor only suggest I rest more.. I did eyesight test and its about 200 degree more than my current glass (which I wear for 1 and a half year)

Currently I'm deciding to make new pair of glasses and comparing price, here is what I hear very interestingly:

1. One of the optometrist suggest I go for 2 glasses, 1 which for near view when I work which is perhaps 300 degree lesser than my far-view glass. This is to ensure my eyes are less tired after watching computer for long hours.

2. Another optometrist suggest I use RGP to control the power. This optometrist also strongly disagree the use of two glasses, pointing out the eye muscle will be dependent on the power and will result in earlier presbyopia.
I've tried to read some info online, but theres no clear answer so as whether one anti-fatigue glass is better, or having two is better. Not to consider price or ease to use wise. If theres any professional here can give me some advice I'm grateful. Thanks.

hi, you should consider stronger addition on your anti fatigue lenses to help relax the eye muscles when looking near or at pc.

Ortho K rgp can help control your myopia too but i would prefer the 1st option since glasses is less invasive.

Hi thanks for the reply but what does it mean by stronger addition to my anti fatigue lenses?
Lets say currently my lens is 825 with anti fatigue gradual decrease of 87 degree as printed on my glasses.

Hi, if the addition is already 0.87, then you can ask for other brand anti fatigue lenses which has higher addition to help further relax the eyes when looking at near.

I see. however as i heard if the addition is higher its even harder for me to adjust, which is why some suggested i use two diff glasses during work (facing to PC) and leisure time, and the two glasses can have up to 300 degree in difference. What is your advice on this?

you are only 26, its not difficult to adjust focus even higher addition like 1.25.

3.00 difference is much worse and its overdoing it, u will find it more blur and difficult to focus at near.

i think u need to consult a more professional optometrist for your eyes.

I see.. I actually went to Gleaneagles hospital eye specialist to check on my eyes (Im from Johor), but then the doctor only said my eye physical condition is good and didnt give much helpful advice.. I think what i get here is even more that what she said...

I'll try to ask for others if possible.

Thanks for your reply though~
