Hi all, any idea what happened to my car paint?

my car rear boot paint was repainted on 12th December 2020, the outcome was great and fine.

after some days parked indoor and hot weather for few weeks, saw this weird cracking? or peeling? of clear coat.

is this due to bad clear coat paint used or bad workmanship?

there's some slightly uneven surface.

will polish able to buff out the clearcoat?

I think those are dried water spots.

You just need to lightly polish it off.

Just bring it back to your paint shop and claim it.

will try it out, just bought a polish online.
thought dried water mark can just simply wipe it out with water+shampoo and towel. never thought it will damage the clear coat.

Watermarks or water spots are quite stubborn stain. You can remove it using car shampoo and wash.

It will be even harder to remove if the water spots are left on the panel and baked under the sun for days and weeks.

Thus, you need a polish to remove it.
