Hi all, would like to plan a future birthday present for my girl. I'm considering between Iphone SE and Oppo Reno 5, mostly need some advice of comparison in the camera department because that's pretty much the main comparison here...besides reparability, and long lasting.

Give oppo sure kena dump, give iphone boleh piap. Thats what i heard.

no matter how much you hate Apple. Always buy an Apple product for your gf/wife.
That extra premium is worth while.

LOL...I figured this would be the first group of response. No worries bros. I'm already married. Fortunately she is not one of those materialistic people. Its just that I heard the IP SE is based on Iphone 8 with new CPU and that's it? On that basis the camera is 2 years old VS new?

My wife is using iPhone SE 2020, powerwise, no complaint at all. Camera quality also no complaint for normal use. But you may regret the screen size.

You may want to consider Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite. Galaxy Note sounds premium, and the Lite version is not an inferior product.

Actually she's using S8 now so the screen size wouldn't be too much different? I'll consider the Note10 Lite too, thanks.
Edit: I just remembered Samsung screens doesn't last long...this will be on the lower end of the consideration...

Have to see if your spouse is willing to switch to a whole new software platform or not first. If she's ok with changing to iOS then can continue to consider.

depends on your girl using what os now. if switch between android and ios, there is no official way to transfer whatsapp chat history between these platform. if she don't mind, then ipong lo

so true...leaning towards iPhone because of this...
