Guys, do you think I should take this offer? S21+ 256gb RM3267 from official Samsung website.

That offer is from the edu store + some galaxy week promo, as I was scrolling through this thread, I noticed someone mentioned something about an edu store. Since I am still a uni student, maybe I can benefit from my uni email.

But, I am still a little bit hesitant because I saw quite alot of users complaining about the weak mobile date signal.

do you feel that the difference in signal strength has any affect on the 4g speeds between your two phones?

malaysian variant of S21+ has the exynos SoC, not sure it's signal reception is still as bad as the previous exynos-es

This sounds kind of bad, are you using the SD or exynos variant of the S21?

P20... the performance on this phone is starting to get on my nerves, that's one of the reasons I am considering the S21+

I just got my S21+ yesterday, I feel that something is weird with my camera.
When I open the camera, there is a slight lagginess when I move the phone around. The camera display does not seem to be in sync with what is in real life. Besides that, the display quality is quite poor as compared to the pictures taken, which is so much better.
I was wondering, is there anything wrong with my unit? Should I be worried...

I think it's not the latest firmware, as the phone prompt me to install a new update this morning.

Yup, it is better than yesterday now.

A few complaints about this phone though.

1) The phone heats up quite abit even with light usage, maybe there is a lot of background processes running when the phone is new?
2) The mobile data signal really is as bad as some forummer who mentioned it in this thread... I am only getting 2 or 3 bars in my home, whereas I could get full bar easily with my P20
3) I kinda miss notification lights, that's my preference coming from P20 though
4) Why is the notification sound so loud!! Every time someone messages me, I feel like the whole office can hear my notification. I have lowered the notification volume as low as it is allowed already
5) Why does long pressing the power button activates bixby!!! I had to google how to turn off my phone...

Other than these few nitpicks, I have to say this phone is amazing. The experience is like switching to a ferrari after driving a myvi for a long time, if this metaphor made any sense LOL. Smooth. Period.

I can't comment about the call volume and quality since so far I haven received or called anyone yet.

As for the speakers, I was blown away at how amazing the speakers sound. Stereo speakers. These speakers are able to produce a wide range of sounds, you can hear some subtle sounds when you play music through the speakers.

Yeah the signal is definitely weaker, previously when I was using my P20 in the toilet, everything is okay, but S21+, it lags just a little bit. The weak signal is definitely noticeable.

Yup, I did change it thanks to the help of @kimjs90 and @mafioso. Imagine if a boomer who is not a tech savvy person, trying to power off their phone, but instead activating bixby lol....

I found maybe a solution for the notification lights? Maybe you can try downloading an app called aodNotify. It makes the surrounding of your front facing camera glow with there is a notification, simulating a notification light. I have used the app for around 3 days though, I find it to be slightly buggy, but hey, at least it is a temporary solution haha

Yeah, I adjusted as long as it possibly could go, it is still loud. So instead I downloaded some notification sounds that are softer from Zedge. Seems to work, but it is still a little loud as compared to P20. Maybe the speaker of S21+ is too good lol...

I faced the same situation with you, the portrait mode is laggy and blurry on phone screen, so annoying...

A little review about the cameras, I'll just say what's on my mind since I'm not a professional photographer lol...

Overall the cameras are good, I feel that Samsung has toned down on the oversaturation on their image processing, the photos taken looks much more true to life with a slight oomph.

Their image processing on skin tone is what I like too, basically 0 smoothing on the face when the beauty mode is turned off, the pictures taken of human faces looks natural unlike those of Chinese phones . That's one of the reasons I choose S21+ over any chinese phones lol...

But not every camera system is perfect though. I managed to get some shots that has some green tint on it. Is there any way to fix it?
I really love to take pictures on the telephoto lens as the lens most similarly represents of what I see in real life, but unfortunately most of the photos taken with the telephoto lens has been 50/50... The photos I took on the telephoto lens sometimes look clear and sharp, but on the other days, it looks grainy and blurry. Maybe it is a problem with the focusing?
The portrait mode has been hit or miss too, I think the edge detection on some tricky subjects such as fluffy hair is quite weak...
