At least now I feel I am not the odd one out to point out S21's flaw. Sometimes people compare only to previous version of Samsung but forgot a lot of us came from other phones as well. There are also lots of good points with Samsung which bros here point out or via reviews. So I will not contribute much on the pros. Just a few not mentioned, again small thing but I appreciate. Eg the always on screen feature when someone is reading the screen.... very useful for me when reading stuff. I am a slow reader so it is nice to not always have to move the screen to prevent time out. I believe only Sony has this feature apart from Samsung. Correct me if I am wrong.

Another 2 things I have to comment on S21 Ultra. Firstly the pic quality seems not as sharp and as good. Granted it could be lightning and person issue. I am hoping the new Feb update would improve it. My friend is saying maybe too many faces in that pic. Maybe other phones behave this way too given the situation.

I am on PC/laptop wechat what'sapp a lot. Sometimes the program will show disconnected status. This is I think due to Samsung not having internet on while your phone is not active and screen locked. Intermittent meaning not always. So sometimes wechat on PC the message arrive but phone will take a while. What's app will show disconnected. Huawei confirm no such issue. Maybe there's some optimization setting somewhere I can do on the app or the phone itself. But doing it will deplete battery further.

The Whatsapp disconnect thing is caused by the optimization settings for the battery.

Long press and hold your app icon > select Battery > Remove whatsapp from Optimise battery usage

This affects a lot of apps, not only Whatsapp. If you use Telegram/Wechat/Teams etc you can change this setting for them too.

Note20 ultra have the feature Keep screen on while viewing, not sure it is still available on S21, you can try to search in advance feature setting.

It is available on the S21 selies. The setting is under Motions and Gestures > Keep scree on while viewing

I'm officially a S21 Ultra owner. Was having reservations on the overheating issue, but purchased it anyway, hoping for the best.
True enough, it was quite hot during setup. Day 2 seems much better with constant web browsing and app use. Hopefully it gets better overtime.

well i came from many different brand so i experienced many pros and cons and tbh i dont even complain, but to live with it because there is no perfection

You pretty much summed it up.

The Ultra's screen is actually more power efficient than the S21+ as it has a VRR of 10 to 120 hz. If you're going to use it on FHD+, you'll see a much bigger battery improvement when compared to the S21+.

Then again, if cameras and stylus isn't something you need and you intend on using FHD+, there is no reason to consider the Ultra to begin with.

When the battery is the most important point, S21+ makes more sense.

S21 still has this feature. I wrote it as a pro. If not people just say why I concentrate on the cons.

Overheating issue is definitely there or rather because of the settings you use. Highest resolution with adaptive refresh rate heats up faster. Cannot do more than few mins of recording too, heats up.


True bro, but my intention is for Samsung to improve on it. Or maybe my needs not main users need. Just that I have high expectation for this phone due to online review plus price. Don't get me wrong, I am using this phone almost a week. Stable phone just some tweaks here and there to make it better.
