Yes... because 120hz ... you scroll up and down when browsing.... software tells temperature around 35-36deg celcius...

Camera even higher due to AI.... maybe it can be disabled.

The is trade off when we looking for good advanced phone. Perhaps, go to mid class of phone wont have this heating issue.

Weirdly enough I didn't experience any overheating issue on my s21u when I use 120hz wqhd+. Not heavy user tho, just normal usage (social media, read novel on Chrome, Among Us for 1-2hours per day, YouTube).
But the moment camera is on...poof it burns after a short while 🥺

Personally user doesn't need to apply sp for rear cam because it will effect the photos/videos quality. From my naked eye when testing capture few photos after applied goozilla sp, I can noticed the sharpness has reduced a little bit. As for now I still not peel the sp for rear cam yet. But I will.

Thanks. I am thinking the same. Especially you have original Samsung Silicone Cover which I think is pretty good to cover from scratch already if compared to other casing which left the entire camera module exposed for scratch.

Black.. I like s21u black also. But due to out of stock, 2nd reason easier get scratch because it is coating black... so I pick silver. I believe when I put on black case, it still will stunning like phantom black.

Ok last tempered glass update from me.
The FP sensor was starting to act very finicky and fussy with me and got a bit annoying to use.
Decided to attempt to install a new one and this time use the coin block method.
Short story my attempt to install a new TG failed due to a tiny piece of dust somehow getting into the glue before I dropped the TG
So gave up on TG, proceeded with using the screen naked.
FP sensor speed = amazing now. Am satisfied and will probably continue using it naked from now might claim screen warranty before the time is up

Hi there, Im planning to get S21U along with T-Max TG(cheaper option compared to Whitestone) and Ringke Fusion X Case(one of the cheapest and good quality casing Ive used so far).
But after reading feedbacks from fellow users, noticed that Ringke doesn't cover the camera properly and that makes me wanna get a TG for the camera.
Planning to keep the phone for at least 2 to 3 years before changing to a newer model in the future.

Some questions,

1. Does those camera TG affect the photo quality? Couldn't find any camera reviews with the TG installed. I found Whitestone TG for camera, not sure if it's better compared to other cheaper ones.

2. Anyone using T-Max + Ringke Cases? Does the TG peel off?
So far I've been using T-Max(almost a year) and Whitestone(lasted me for 2 years) with Ringke Case on my S9+, everything works well. Not sure if it's the same for S21U.

3. Does TG really affect the thumb scan badly? I was checking thru youtube vids and seems like there are few of them working quite well but couldn't find it locally on Shopee.
My friend was using T-Max TG on her S10 and that's the only TG that can do thumb scan after trying few TG from Ninjaz & Gadget Tech.

4. Any other alternative/recommended TG/SP for the phone?

Wanna get the accessories ready before getting the phone..

UV Glue TG sometimes might gives problem to FP sensor and it is expensive. It is risky as well sometimes accidentally lifted by casing, then will not close gap anymore. Thanks for your sharing.
Like other said, maybe you can try Hydrogel/silicone type such as Rockspace or X.one. I tried Rockspace clear type, not bad actually ... just cross finger it is compatible with casing. Anyway it is cheaper because I managed to get RM30 for 2pcs last time from Ipoh seller.

Maybe is my personal opinion that the camera module is not safe. In fact it is aluminium and not easy to scratch. But if it is black, I am not dare to comment as I watch Jerry's video actually he scratched it and black color coating came out.

For camera lens, I have no idea what material glass it is.. If it is sapphire, then should be good without protection. Waiting for someone to tell me.

To comment on camera TG, I believe for sure the quality of photo will be affected once installed... maybe very minimum if get good one. I bought one LEEU brand and will give a try. Please take note camera TG might give problem to casing which actually I notice most casing spigen/ringke/samsung ... did cover at least edges of camera module. Except ESR brand TPU casing which doesnt touch the camera module at all.
I will try LEEU brand camera TG. and hope it will not give me problem with my ringke fusion or samsung silicone cover. The TG must be thin enough not to conflict with casing..

I totally agree with your view on Huawei though, I had the Mate 30 Pro for a bit and the signal strength blew everyone away. The other chipset to try if you want great signal strength, and this is a real surprise, is the Mediatek Dimensity series chipset. I’m currently trying a Realme 7 5G and I would say the signal strength is on par with my previous Huawei

I ordered one but not yet arrived which makes me worry if it doesn't protect the camera module at all.

For samsung silicone case though it kinds of hide the whole back design of s21u 😅 I think only samsung made cases got such design right, including the leather case and silicone case with spen...which hides the camera module exposing only the camera lens. Coz all other cases (spigen/ringke/rhinoshield/etc) I noticed only creates a bump to provide sufficient protection for the cameras.

See above ESR TPU casing didnt touch the camera module edge, so you are safe to install camera TG or any protector.



Not like Ringke, it got cover the edge of camera module, sounds better protection but will have problem to install camera TG or any camera protector. This is the problem I am having now.
Protect the edge of camera module is not good enough for me.

Hi, i v been a photographer for almost 20 years. I tried hundres of shots ranging from high end dslr cameras to mobile.


I used to take photos with Note10 plus, and the latest one is S21 Ultra 16gb ram. What i noticed was when taking BOKEH photos with live focus/ protrait mode, the old Note 10 plus rendered much much better than s21 ultra Bokeh elements, which i guaranteed close to natural dslr lens bokeh in Note10 plus.

While the latest high end S21 ultra is struggling to assimilate the natural dslr bokeh with uneven and false , fake edge as if i am using the 300dollar phones!!!!




I am very disappointed, i bought an expensive phone, expectiing more than jus a 2 year old phone like note 10 plus!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
