I just upgraded the braodband to Unifi for my mum in hometown. Last night was heavy rain so my mum unplug the modem and router. This morning when she plugged it back, the covr dont have LED, cant make phone call and connect to network as well. I then raised the issue to TM and they sent team of technician to my home. Then they did some configuration and told my mummy try to avoid power off the modem, it causing the setting gone ?!?!?! Can anyone tell me WTH is this BTW big thumbs up to TM... I raised the concern via unifi.com.my and they sent the team within 2 hours This post has been edited by ultimate93: Feb 11 2021, 04:37 PM

Maybe you get certain model of BTU which has the problem of erase settings when power off. Can't remember was it Nokia or some other brand, but you can check the Unifi thread for answer. Generally it is ok to turn off both BTU and router. I do that once a while.

My first BTU was Fiberhome, few days later during the thunder, I am off it for a while. Once power it on, my phone led indicator off. Complaint to TM, they set it again as they said my house phone number is missing from the config. Later on I am off it again due to I am shifting the BTU to the higher rack, again phone not working after on it. This time the TM guy came and replaced the BTU to Huawei. Everything working now.
