damn.. we are the same.. my last iphone was 3GS as well. but now that i've migrated to iphone 12 mini. below is my list:

face id: it's just stupid - so many miss and ended up i have to type in passcode half of the time. No fingerprint sensor is just ridiculous.
shortcuts: in android everything seems to be easily accessible, not for iphone everything has to start with "settings" utter rubbish.
battery percentage: everytime i want to check i have to scroll down from the right, no it's not an option for 12 mini to display the battery percentage in/beside the bar.
keyboard: their keyboard is just pathetic, i only have swiftkey as my next option. I still prefer swype or best androids own keyboard.
bugs: those who told you no bug in iphone - that's just bullshit. in our website, we had been struggling to fix something prior to ios 14. Thank god they release 14.4 and it solve our mystery. Also my favourite manga site has some freeze screen occasionally which i don't encounter when i'm using my android phone.
auto adjust brightest: though on auto... i still have to manually adjust it day and night. night time - too bright, day time too dim.. damn it.. I did not know in 2021 auto brightness adjustment could be an issue! PS: i'm not using any glass to protect the screen as well so don't blame it on tempered glass.
My Sejahtera scan super fast = bullshit, sometimes it's not detecting as well.
Installing app process is rubbish, you have to reconfirm pressing power button twice, sometimes face id scan, if can't you have to key in password to confirm. They should just do it only for payment.

Good stuff about iphone 12 mini.
the form factor, there is no other flagship with this form factor. so good to hold in hand. comfortable.
quality, phone is really well made even when compared to androids flagship. They really did not skim on the glass and panels.

i can't think of any usability / practicality where my iphone triumphs over android unfortunately. Also i just get to know IOS 14 was actually a major improvement with their implementation of widgets and some other features. I can't imagine if they do not have them.

Couple of important things to note: -

- If you have years of WhatsApp history, moving over to iPhone from Android will mean you will lose all the history unless you transfer via a paid software.

- Dual SIM in iPhone relies on one e-SIM and one physical SIM card, and not 2 SIM cards, unless you get certain iPhone models from China, Hong Kong or Macau

Having regularly switch between Android phones and iPhones, my advice to friends who ask the same question you asked is that it’s probably best not to switch unless you have a compelling reason to switch like for example due to work purposes, use iCloud sharing services with family, or if you have other Apple products and want a seamless integration of your devices.

I just switch over form android as well. Last iPhone was the same model as yours, 3GS.
The "PITA" moments are:
-Keyboard
-Battery indicator (%,) well in another way it's a good thing to train me not to worry too much about the % number, just charge when the bar is less than half.
-Whatsapp is a pain to transfer over from Android, need to use paid apps. And to backup on iOS, you got to either backup to iCloud(paid) or to your iTunes on your PC/Mac as frequent as you desire.
-Screen refresh rate could be higher, but current 60hz is not a deal breaker.

The good stuff:
-Snappy! (well, it's an unfair comparison though, switching from Huawei P20).
-Very nice screen and photoshoot, much natural colour compare to my old phones.
-Apple eco-system - finally can fully utilize my iPad Pro 11 nicely already.

iPhone now has widgets capability, so you can place a battery one on your home screen. Can choose the one which will also show other connected devices like bluetooth earpiece too.

I switched to ip12. From 11 years of android user. Im hardcore android user with all exp rooting n flashing n name it. Every action on android i done. Bricked it. Unbricked it.
Tbh, my biggest pain are
1. No enter to send in chat like wasap
2. How pain to transfer no phone from text to call, especially with no call link

I understood some wasap chat can’t be transfer via free software. My fren spent almost 200 for paid software, i used his.

Have u watched “mrwhosetheboss” video. He stated using ipone not about soec. Its abt exp.
tbh, i never worry abt my Battery

Thinking of switching as well, but holding out for iphone 13 hoping it would have always on display, fingerprint scanner, and usb type C. I think those are the things that i would miss the most

1. AOD - will come with update
2. FPR - 90% apple won’t going backwards. Faceid easily broken with non genuine lcd replacement. If ip still got fpr, ppl don’t mind using faceid failed
3. TypeC. They wont sacrifice lightning as their mfi money

The keyboard dont have ., at qwerty.

Other than that, nothing else i miss.

Best part from android user to ios is ads. My god the amount of unsolicit accidental allowed or not webpage notification is highly annoying in android. No left left swift is google “commercial recommendation”

Tumpang thread, considering to move to ios, i checked last few pages got alot mentioned battery health/percentage? Does ip12 have issue with the battery drain/overheating?

One thing i really waiting is the battery size. Minimum standard is 4000mah nowadays. Plus, charging should already supercharged atleast 40w, stupid apple want to suck money using ancient lighting cable. We all know type c is better and offer alot than lighting cable.

See how this iPhone 13.Might pull the trigger unless samsung has something new to offer. Missed huawei coz stupid US, else i would bother iphone or any android.

No, they’re just obsessing over the feature that shows the health of the battery in terms of percentage - it creates anxiety amongst some laugh.gif

The battery of the iPhone 12 doesn’t heat up or drain unexpectedly, however, it is a very small battery. Just 28xx mAh. The closest Apple came to a 4000 mAh was the iPhone 11 Pro Max at 39xx mAh, but then they downgraded again to 36xx mAh battery.

Based on your post, I’d say it’s probably safe for you to stick to Android smile.gif

You should stick with Android if you are into specs, maybe get a Google Pixel.

I switch back to iOS because the features Android has were bonuses to me and I could live without them and live with more stable and longer iOS support. If you miss Android features, then you shouldn't switch to iOS.

Just migrated from Pixel to iPhone for 1 week, basically painless transition, only pain point is cannot transfer whatsapp chat, there is work around but I don't trust the software, don't mind to start fresh anyway to get rid of those old data

what I like:
1. retina display
2. easy to use, no need to think
3. apple music apps and good sound

what I miss:
1. always on display
2. sms spam block
3. DND mode, iPhone DND mode is not completely silent
4. finger print, face ID don't work when I am on mask
