Poor Mihoyo is getting so much flak for their anniversary reward.
Granted they're pretty stingy but I don't think it's as horrible as it's made out to be. It's just Mihoyo lul. But dayumm... I wonder how will the drama pan out |

Yeah. Individually, the rewards definitely feel meager, but if you look at it from a collective point of view, the rewards they're given is pretty sizable.
Though I guess a billion dollar earning company could do better than come up with these rewards. They probably allocated a small budget for their rewards, but it makes you wonder what Mihoyo has been thinking post patch 2.0 They have been super mediocre following Ayaka's release. Yoimiya, Raiden and Kokomi all got complained severely, and only 1 character out of the 3 mentioned got buffs. Now folks are complaining about the anni rewards. Makes you wonder what's to come next. |

QUOTE(kanelee @ Sep 26 2021, 11:25 AM) I think as it stands, the anniversary rewards just feel like a normal event at best, rather than a celebratory event like other gacha games does with their anniversary. Also with rewards that are less than the Lantern Rite festival, it surely compounds the feeling of being underwhelmed. It also doesn't help that some section of social media had been hyping up rumors of 'free 5 star character for the anniversary' when there's no evidence of it being true. My personal opinion... the hype for Genshin will dip a little now that Inazuma's story has concluded for most parts. Once the game moves on from Inazuma and starts exploring Sumeru, I doubt the hype for their characters will be as strong. Most people seem to be waiting on Yae, and after that, it's really just a matter of how well Mihoyo plays their cards. In terms of characters function, I have not much complaints about Yoimiya, Raiden or even Kokomi. But certain mechanics definitely need tweaking like AA targeting for ranged attackers and Electro resonance/reactions. The story on the other hand (the main quest), it would help a lot more if it had more chapters to flesh out the story rather than it being rushed through. The next thing some folks might complain about is no new character banners and only reruns LOL I do think folks will be more excited for Fontaine, the region after Sumeru. Not sure if Natlan will be as well-received. Archons will always be the center of the spotlight, but I don't see many folks excited about dendro as a whole. Those who enjoy playing the game will be excited to see how dendro interacts with all, but those into the design and waifus have hardly voiced their eagerness for the new element. As for the anniversary rewards, I agree that community overhyped itself KEK. Especially the western community where they kept throwing copium around about how you may potentially get to choose a 5* from the standard banner of your choice and what not. |

QUOTE(msacras @ Sep 26 2021, 06:32 PM) On the other hand, I kind of prefer Inazuma's story, overall less errands and grindy. Really? I kinda thought it was the opposite. I much prefer Mondstadt and Liyue's errands, and I think it has something to do with their landscapes. Inazuma's landscapes, while beautifully designed put me off by week 2 into playing. And this has nothing to do with me blazing through the unlockables and side quest. I just didn't like that Inazuma had so many turns, cliffs and sloppy landscapes. Liyue had all the mountains too that was very frustrating, but Inazuma's mob spawn points were always located one mountain away from one another, at least to me. These few days I been playing my alt and clearing it's quest up to the point I can get upcoming TunaFish claymore. It totally reminded me how lengthy Liyue's story and Diluc's story quests are... I would love to see how a hydro landscape like Fontaine would appear like though. I'm probably getting ahead of myself thinking we're getting a region with lots of rivers and lakes, because Fontaine according to the in-game lore and is moored to Celestia and a floating city... making it the nation closest to Celestia. It is also said to be the most technologically advanced city in Teyvat. I will admit the bounties and requests in Inazuma is nice though. Almost 2 out of 3 requests in Inazuma weekly involves eradicating Kairagis or Hilichurls. Really hope Enkanomiya aka the pool below Kokomi's home is a treat to underwater enthusiasts. That DLC should drop in the game like Dragonspine. |

On another note, I wanna ask Beidou players the following question.
If you... -Run 4pc EoSF (Emblem of Severed Fate) -Primarily use her as a sub-dps for Electrocharged team comps, sub dps is fine actually -Run her with either a Skyward Pride or Serpent Spine I want to know if having an abysmal/balance crit rate : crit damage for a Beidou makes any difference. It sounds rather rhetorical, but I'm wondering if the difference between a balanced CR:CD or skewed CD:CR ratio creates a noticeable difference. I have not played Beidou in the entirety of my Genshin playtime and am only forced to look at her now as on-field Kokomi works soooooo well with Beidou and Fischl, so I'm completely unfamiliar with the two, even though my Beidou is currently sitting at C6. Apart from the crit question, I'm also eager to know how 4pc EoSF fairs vs. the traditional 2pc Thundering Fury + Glad. There's 4pc Thundersoother if you're into that, although Thundersoother is highly gated to EC team comps only. For further context: Kokomi pairs well with Beidou/Fischl because she's able to remain on field for a very long time, which allows her to set up EC reactions like Childe but with heals and aoe hydro application. |

Wooow. This Moonlight Merriment event is making me a heckin bamboozled.
Is it just me or are the guidelines much more confusing this around @_@. So many things to do just to earn them freemos but the instructions and wordings are so off. Makes me feel like patch 2.1 is super rushed as a whole. Bad guidelines really suck off the fun in completing these challenges. |

QUOTE(msacras @ Sep 27 2021, 05:40 PM) Dat prerequisite quest though, so long long man... Right!? Someone gets me. I seriously think Mihoyo was working on a tight deadline with 2.1 for most parts. The dialogues, the story, guidelines, everything was needlessly long. And ayam screened through the map only got 96%, dono where's the last 4% at. Seriously hating this type of unguided map screening event... There are already some YouTube videos online that cover the chest search. If you have 30 moonchase charms, that's all there is to the first map. The rest is probably just chest. Also, don't use the clue unless you absolutely need to, try exploring as much as you can until you can finally give in. The clues are once-a-day-thing only. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Sep 28 2021, 08:57 AM) Very random but here we go! Random question, but the YouTuber isn't you, is it? If anyone of you ordered, you'll be pleased with the product ............ except for the box condition. Someone on discord tagged me this video too as I was telling them that someone in MY is selling Klee's statue for RM500, ori price RM600. Not sure why they're letting it go. Hours earlier, I had shown someone the Klee Statue in a box, and they said the box condition from the photo I shared and the one in video looked the same. Both YouTuber and seller are from Malaysia, and both happen to be associated with the cosplay scene. |

To be fair, I think folks here are much more civil than other Genshin communities elsewhere lol.
To me, it's just Genshin doing Genshin things. The whole event has been drawing flak from the community but it's not as cracked as it's made to be. I think everyone has an opinion about it due to the past accumulated issues that Mihoyo hardly bothered to resolve, but I dare say everyone here's being incredibly level-headed about it. Elsewhere, you see everyone on copiums or hopiums and it gets old really fast. Quite frankly, the whole backlash only started because Genshin content creators started spreading rumors about the anni rewards as early as May iirc. I get that content creators need to continuously churn out new videos to keep their revenue going, but content creators are the very reason the community has the perception that we're getting a 5* of choice and what not on anniversary. I'm more interested in knowing how Da Wei feels about all this. One thing's for sure, he's probably sleeping well at night knowing he has billions in his account. |

Kinda weird that the guy who whines about Eula hasn't shown up for a looong time. Considering he's such a F2P guy, I wonder if he thinks Mihoyo's anniversary event is underwhelming
On another note, bad game store reviews don't scare Mihoyo. And you'd be doing yourself a lot more help by not focusing on the hopium HAHAHAHA. |

![]() I will cry if this is real, all my 4pc HoD efforts for Kokomi gone down the drain. Wording feels a bit off though and may or may not necessarily circumvent her issue since a maxed out Kokomi cons scales with hydro damage instead. But man, I don't want Mihoyo to circumvent a character issue through a quick band aid solution. |

QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Oct 3 2021, 12:08 PM) Wow this is an insane set for Kokomi.. Might make her damage go through the roof! Will it come true? Who knows~ Mihoyo tried to push Childe into viability by specifically designing the Peak of Vindagnyr for him. I would gladly refarm Kokomi's artifact sets if this is her new bis, but still want Mihoyo to address the inherent issues within the character. Kokomi got so much hate from the community that even the character's Chinese VO was attacked online. And Mihoyo is now making changes to Itto after the Kokomi backlash to ensure they don't create the same drama again. |

QUOTE(zemega @ Oct 3 2021, 12:24 PM) Uhh, that sounds good on Qiqi. Kokomi aside, that's not much characters that can use this. Yoimiya maybe, if you're not interested in min-maxing, or not using her signature weapon or artifacts. We don't know. Either way, this could be born out of a coper's mind or actually real. What's the other set accompanying this set? NGA folks have been talking about a new artifact set to remedy Kokomi's issue, but it's all hearsay at this point. At some point, Mihoyo WILL have to push healers into viability, which means a new healing artifact is on the horizons. Since this set operates on a low crit rate assumption, this would benefit non-crit builders which includes healers. Still... I kinda think this set is broken lol. We'll see if livestream does confirm the existence of this. |

Just a reminder. Genshin is hosting that online concert event at 8:40PM. Not sure if it includes a teaser for 2.2 too, but worthwhile staying on to watch.

QUOTE(blek @ Oct 3 2021, 10:23 PM) Neh. That's just the stand-in art for the standard banner during 1.1 I think? I rolled on the banner when I was new to the game and got anything but Jean or Diluc. Still waiting for a Jean banner honestly. I thought the Windblume Festival was gonna feature Jean in her own banner, turns out that wasn't the case. |

QUOTE(msacras @ Oct 4 2021, 03:24 PM) I don’t like Childe’s dynamic cool-down mechanism. To me, Childe is someone who shines the higher he goes up on his constellations, because he doesn't have a real ultimate so to speak. Stance switchers in all games are always like that, they're hard to balance because they offer more abilities and ways to deal damage compared to your conventional 3-4 ability characters. He's perfectly viable at C1, but you have to play him with the fireworks team comp, which is basically electrocharged + vaporize + overload supported by infuse. That's why hydro characters tend be a little more undertuned in their scalings, because their element is the lynchpin of most major elemental reactions in the game, which affects virtually everything else. For Hutao, I don’t have SoH, don’t have solid shielder for her and not comfortable with her low HP risky gameplay, especially after Mihiyo launched the bleeding mechanism.
