Saw quite a number of travel photos where people travel to places with minimal light pollution for stargazing, and they can see the Milky Way and all.....

Wondering if we have such places in peninsula Malaysia?

Since we probably can’t travel overseas anytime soon
Any recommendation?

Which state are u from?

Milky way got season. March onwards to august usually good.

You need to go to super dark places.

Certain spots in cameron highland, kuala kubu bahru, sekinchan, janda baik, pulau perhentian, mersing, any taman negara

Used to be able to see from genting mushroom farm, but after development, can't see d.

I saw milky way in tioman in august. U need to look for scorpio, the centre of milky way is behind it. Scorpio peak in midnight during northern summer. Right now all can see is orion oni. In tioman or east cost during summer wind blow from west, hence carry no cloud or rain since it is from land, so dry, so less light polution dispersion.

Right now wind blow from east, so west coast should have less cloud. Go find rural area, but then no milky way lor since february

But right now oso got many thing, orion, sirius few nebula, if u know how to take photo using dslr

Being able to see with the naked eyes, isn't the same as what you see on photos, in case you aren't aware.

The real thing is more "grand" then what the best photo can convey.

Can see in p.malaysia. i was on a tiny kelong outside kukup and the generator broke down. Best stargazing experience, spend most of the night lying on the deck enjoying the Milky Way.
