You don't have to spend RM3-3.5k for a reasonably functional air purifier.

You can try the Xiaomi Purifier 3H around RM500. Filters cost RM90-110 to be changed every 6 months iinm. Controlled by app, quite a smart purifier as you can set when it should turn on and off. Various fan speed settings unlike most purifier which only has 2-3 fan speed.

HEPA filter used in all these filters is essentially almost of the same grade. Xiaomi 3H uses Class 13 HEPA filters.

wonder these air purifiers can be used for reducing the dust in general. my room always full of dust.

Yes definitely. Tons of dust will be collected by the outer layer which traps bigger particles.

Filters from Sharp, Panasonic for example have "pre-filters" which can be washed to remove all those dust.

too much dust in my room...thinking which type to get. was wondering if they are really effective to remove dust.

by the way this xiaomi has 3 types of filter types...why so complicated one.  doh.gif

Do sweep your room frequently else the dust will just be stuck at some dead spots. Get the grey one, it's the one which is HEPA Class 13 filter

The amount of dust on my filter is thicker than the video above lol and I have vacuum it 2 times in the past 6 months.

you can re-use the filter after vacuum it?
*
Yes, should be able to use as long as you want but of course the filtration will not be as good.

(It seems you can continue using the filter even though you get a notitifaction from the app to install a new one)
