So I have been running an initiative to collect old laptops/CPU, refurbish them, and giving them away to low-income families who can't afford computers for online learning.
So I have been getting all kinds of hardware. Some fairly recent, some old, some broken.
But I got this HP Mini 210 laptop. It's super slow - even with an SSD in it with Lubuntu OS.
I don't think I want to give it away - because it's so slow it won't even play Youtube smoothly. It defeats the objective of me giving it away because the kids will have a tough time using it to go online learning. In short words - it doesn't fit the hardware parameters I have set for my initiative. Also if want to give - give something ok one la. This one not ok.
I also not selling it. It's too long to explain - this is a decided option and non-negotiable.
From the other thread, others too agree that this laptop is way too slow. I have decided to put it to the museum.
But before it is going to the museum... perhaps anyone you all can give me some ideas what else can I do with it. I mean it still works. But it's painfully slow. Perhaps some students wanna learn to code?
Give constructive ideas ya. Thanks
