Pampers hard to get in Malaysia. They were around until 2019, I think. Now if you find from online shops, they are mostly imported and super expensive...Mamypoko and Merries so far are the best two I've tried. Huggies the high end one also quite good.

Since buying for neighbour who had lost his job....better don't go too high end. If they end up too reliant on it, then they might have financial problem trying to continue using the same brand. Genki is decent enough, my new born had no rashes using Genki for 1.5 months (interchange with Merries)
*
did realize pampers has less in market...true that shouldn't go high end in order to help

QUOTE(hammers @ Feb 3 2021, 08:16 PM)
applecrumby

ohh didn't come across this...anymore information?

Newbord - Huggies
Decent price tag with good comfy level.

After 1-2 year - Mamipoko
Somehow mamipoko very good in dealing with leakage and prevent rashness.

After 3-4 years - Genki and drypers.
If the child still not toilet-trained.
Cheaper.
You cant be paying RM 1.50 per piece diaper for 4 years old child.

For newborn, it is best to manage at RM 0.50 per diaper.
But dont take pampers cap ayam or you get rash problem later.

only move to RM 1 to RM 1.50 for child 1-2 years old. Mamipoko is the price tag you need to look for.

wow thanks for this calculation and indeed can't afford for more than rm1/pc cz that will be high cost

QUOTE(dckm @ Feb 3 2021, 08:28 PM)
we are using drypers touch for night time, mixed with drypers skinature for day time when not much poo. skinature is really thin and comfy but expensive (change often and memang exp. per piece). don't get pants type of any brand for young babies, hard to remove.

if want to be safe since you don't know preference, you could buy good wet wipes. applecrumby is popular premium brand, super nice to use, or can get anakku wet wipes. no such thing as too much wet wipes. sure use wan.
*
true that im considering to buy wet wipes and baby lotion as gift too
indeed wet wipes needed lots! thankssss

Merries S size can get about 62 sen per piece normally. Mamypoko AirFit, about the same price. Mamypoko Extra Dry should be about 75 sen per piece. If manage to get good promo price, surely lower. Quality wise, I would say Merries is one level lower than Mamypoko/Moony. Mamypoko feels a little nicer when i touched it too.
How many pieces for S and M? Tried to find this brand for so long, before finally decided on Merries. Pampers globally is like one of the best according to parents' reviews.

QUOTE(jian5481 @ Feb 3 2021, 09:11 PM)
Yeah, Huggies hijau is about 51 sen per piece for S, 61 sen per piece for M size. Got another higher end one, Platinum, that one maybe more than RM1 per piece.

seems like quite lots using merries huggies drypers mamypoko too
will check it out...thanks lots for help

wow mamypoko really famous among parents. my friend told me but i didnt believ

I used to use mamypoko airfit, huggies natural soft, merries, applecrumby, drypers drypants, pet pet, goon, but i still went back to drypers touch, cause it can absorb and tahan as well as applecrumby, but price wise not too expensive.

Mamypoko airfit, merries, and huggies natural soft is expensive but absorption wise can only tahan few hours. Applecrumby can absorb and tahan very well, but very expensive. Drypers drypants, and pet pet, can forget about it la, very low end but can use la, just be prepared to keep changing diapers every few hours, poop also will leak. Goon still okay, but also cannot absorb and tahan very long.

Anyway, for drypers touch, I buy online, RM97.50 for 240pcs (NB). I think can tahan ur friend 1.5 months.
*
that's quite an explore and appreciate the sharing
try to avoid those may cause leakage and rash...good absorption and tahan well is main factor

Tesco brand good. My kids never had any issue, so we stick with tesco, or any genki dryper huggies pet pet brand on sale. Newborn gonna have to keep changing diapers around 4-6 pieces per day.

Your neighbour no more job, i think they appreciate low class or average brand with more diapers count rather than branded diapers with lesser amount.
*
true that's why try to keep at affordable price so she still can buy it
hopefully can ease her out with some contribution

except they go boom2 a lot which happens once a month or something
*

Tesco brand one is definitely affordable. About 40 sen per piece for S size. NP is RM96, if not mistaken, for 228 pieces.

Offspring and Applecrumby super mahal, > RM1 per piece
*
that's really cost friendly and if it is a good product why not

QUOTE(plurbuddyskuppy @ Feb 4 2021, 01:39 PM)
im using offspring. expensive, but i my kids have no skin issue.
*
skin issue could be diff to each baby...but good to know offspring is nice, price maybe need to consider since my neighbor is not doing well now

QUOTE(zimie @ Feb 4 2021, 02:06 PM)
offspring?really thin, light weight, really good absorb and i like the graphic design of it
the only problem it is expensive and my son got rashes..change to huggies green package or drypers after that
*
ohhh thanks for sharing...yeah just like adult everyone is diff, may have diff reaction towards the product

QUOTE(wuwah @ Feb 4 2021, 03:11 PM)
been using tesco brand since 2017 i think even before they rename them to fred n flo. after my 1st son always leaked himself every night when use drypers, pet pet. now his brother also use tesco brand. very satisfied. never rashes, never leak fluid.

last time when genki enters, tried once. leaking again cry.gif

maybe teso's cutting is very good to fit my childs. dunno why

cost wise, is very good and surely reliable.
*
wootsss another tesco user...seems like not bad at all, cost and usage wise it seems nice deal
