Yop!
I'm venturing into film slr now...so 1st step of course,is to pick up a camera,film slr that is...
long before i've looked into FM10,which isnt practical to me, coz it's fully manual...learning curve would be too steep to me.
then after asking a few frens of mine doin film photographing too,i've search around and come up with these choices.
1. Nikon F65/N65 (full kit with mens at RM450)
2. Canon 500N/Rebel G (with lens only, RM500)
3. Minolta Dynax 5 (full kit with lens (RM475)
4. Pentax P3/P30 (with lens only,lens with fungus... shakehead.gif RM150)
5. Canon EOS 3000v (full kit with lens RM800)

read all the reviews...all of their comments are mostly positive doh.gif so am now preety much stuck...
all in all...please help me in choosing which camera is best for beginner in film photographing...
by the way,my budget would be RM300-400...(of course less is better)

Being a member since dec 2006 doesnt mean you can be lax on the rules and simply create topic in inappropiate place.

@kel_jink

Doesn't really matter which film slr you start with as the film matters most. I have a canon 3000N which served me well enough. It's identical to the 300V btw

if u plan to move to dslr, u have to make sure 1 type of brand u going to stick to, so that u can save up a lot of upgrading lens. I would suggest u if possible get canon eos 30/33, boeing s.wang still have few unit left, i may get 1 as collection also, good camera and good body material, shall last u forever. spend little bit more for better film camera, then save all the money for good lens, and some good negative, such as fujifilm velvia, sensia, kodak elitechrome/ektachrome....

a lot to explain, hehehhehe

Dude,

For film cameras it's not the cam that affects the color production. It's your film. So it doesn't matter which brand you choose.
