Hi all,

I wonder if a Schizophrenia patient (around 26 years old) who has been consuming mental related medicine for about 2 years and still not yet stop, does he/she is entitle to purchase medical insurance?

Thanks for answering, is there any condition where the patient can approved for medical card in future?
I heard there need to be a certain period where the patient stop consuming the medicine before applying for medical card. Wonder if there is true?

Hi all, hopefully I can get some information here for a very old insurance policy for my aunty. She purchased the insurance in year 1996 from AIA, and the agent no longer stay contact with her anymore.

Insurance Plan : AIA Visionlife Plus
Face amount : 25000
Policy date : May 17, 1996
Maturity date : May 17, 2069
Age : 27

Type of coverage:
Life
Amount : 25000
No of years premium payable : 61

EAPWP
Amount : 25000
No of years premium payable : 33

CLR
Amount : 25000
No of years premium payable : 61

AI
Amount : 15000
No of years premium payable : 38

My question for this policy is
1) what does it means by No of years premium payable? Is that means the year where the rider will be elapsed from policy date?

2) until when the insurer need to continue pay the premium for this policy to keep it active? Is it until 88 years old?

Hopefully any professional can help to answer this as I tried to search around in AIA website but they have no much information on this...🙏

1. From the looks of it, it would mean that after the No. of years; the rider will cease.

2. Once the policy is reaches May 17, 2069, the policy will mature & cease.

Hi lifebalance, thanks for your reply!

I wonder in that case, would you advice from your opinion, what happened to the policy between last rider ceased at 2057 and 2069?
Wonder if it would be advisable to withdraw the remaining cash balance from the policy after 2057?

hi RiriRuruRara, if not mistaken GE eConnect removed some of the payment method which i dont know why. you can login to ebanking to do jompay i think that is more convenient. wink.gif
hi dotax, answered in spoiler above wink.gif if there is no difficulty in paying premium, it will be more advisable to keep the plan even after 2057. i believe there will be certain bonus accumulated in the policy if death occurs. if your aunt has the policy book, then you can study the benefits in details. if can keep the policy for so long, it is always more beneficial to keep it.

Thanks for your feedback denion!

It'll just mean that the rider will cease, not the entire policy. Meaning if a covered event triggers but the rider had ceased, you'll not get the payout that was covered under the rider.

Whether to withdraw or not is up to you to decide when the time comes if the policy still serves it purpose for you.

I got it now, thanks for your feedback lifebalance!
