Hi delsoo,

Are you working overseas permanently or do you come back every 90 days ?

Which country are you working at and what's your nature of work ?
Yes, as long as it's medically necessary to be hospitalized.

Yes, I am working oveseas , I dont come back often , even before the Covid period. Can I still claim the medical card insurance if I need to be hospitalised ? Can suggest any good medical card ?

Hospitalizations cost in sg with Malaysia medical card.... Preferably with very high coverage.
Why not source for it in SG?... Most probably easier to claim n to get follow up on claims documentation

No, la. I wont be so stupid haha. If I need to be hospitalised, I will come back to Msia lo tongue.gif Is that still possible ? the medical card still valid I am not in Msia for 90 days consecutively ?

There is a few option.

1. Buy a Singapore Insurance if you are planning for a long term stay there

2. If you do come back to Malaysia and only travelling to SG for work but stuck due to COVID - then applying for a Local Medical Card  is also viable as they do extend coverage to Singapore but do note it's still based on Reasonable & Customary and Medically Necessary Charges for such equivalent local treatment in Malaysia. Which means the covered amount would not be full (SGD v MYR).

3. If you're willing to spend a premium for it, there is also can option where you can cover 100% of the cost incurred while in Singapore and there is no travel restriction or waiting period (coverage starts immediate).

I can suggest you companies like AIA, GE for starters.

I will stay most of the time in SG. Just want to take advantage of the medical card in Malaysia if I am diagnosed with non-critical illenss later . Is that still possible ? since I am away from Msia for more than 90 consecutive days .

You can still buy & keep if your intention is one day you would come back to Malaysia but worry if you've succumbed to any critical illnesses in Singapore which you worry about not able to apply for any Medical Card in the future.

So, back to the question. Say that I am diagonsed with non-critical illenss which need to be hopistalised ( I choose to admit to hospital in Msia), is the medical card still valid ? Since I am not in Msia for more than 90 days consecutively
