I would like to try and get in on this. Buy 1 stock perhaps. How does one buy a gamestop share?

online brokers such as eToro (that opened back up) or webull etc

market is now closed though

Oh I see.

So just have to download eToro and sign-up?

Then wait for 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time when their market opens back up for trading, yes?

Tried to buy GME but it says "orders are currently not accepted during off-market hours".

I thought after clicking set order, eToro will keep it in the pending orders section.

I'm guessing eToro doesn't allow this feature for GME?

Just waiting to try out this thing.

Right now in eToro, it says GME is 197.62 in the buy section.

When the market opens, it might shoot up to 400+ because of off-market/pre-market ongoings, yes?

Still says no buying on off-market hour though. I was expecting they'd hold out on letting people buy. Guess just have to wait...

market halted.

SUITS ARE TREMBLING

=edit=
i managed to buy at 393 a friend 410 before market halt, so you CAN buy on eToro

Oh, after I click on the buy column in my watchlist, then set the amount, then click on the "open trade" button, nothing happens. Just need to refresh again and again?

edit: oh! it was because i put cents. after making it a nice round number, it went through.

edit2: i guess that didn't matter cause it went through regardless with or without the cents, haha.

In an eToro pinned post (link here), I see people posting this same thing:

"I officially declare that I do not want to close my positions on the stocks listed above or any other stock or instrument and I do not give consent to Etoro to do it automatically. I understand my risk and accept it, legal action will be taken if they are closed without my consent. Thank you."

Is this something I should be doing too?

Why would it specifically affect facebook boomers?

remember to set the higher TP while riding the roller coaster along

as when the shorts squeeze started , you don even have the time to sell it as the market will be halted and most of the platform will be unavailable to perform buy/sell ...

How much did you set? 60K?

Just loaded some funds. Getting ready to get some more shares and ride this once in a lifetime thing. Crash back to earth or reach the moon.

Holding on and seeing how things unfold the coming days. What a way to learn new things stepping into the stock market for the first time.
