Hello. Anybody here know which platform is best used for a Malaysian to invest in the US Stock Market?
I tried opening Fidelity, but then realized they only open for US Residents (Haha).
Opened up an EToro and Webull account but havent really updated my personal profile nor made a deposit yet because I got cold feet.
Right now, I'm just really tempted to buy at least 1 GME share to see where it goes. Maybe a few AMC on the side.

Can anyone help a newbie out?
Also, what are the Tax repercussions to us if say the GME shares actually reach $1,000 or $69,420 per share? It is my understanding that a 30% Withholding Tax will be deducted from our overall sell of the shares. Do we still have to pay Income Tax for this gain?

I read somewhere on Reddit a few weeks back that what we're going through now is the "Gamma Squeeze".
Are they saying this isnt the ACTUAL squeeze yet? Will there be another one after this?

will the history repeats ?

The price last night was dipped to $220 + ... will the price getting lower and lower each day and drop below $100 sooner or later ....

I'm kinda hoping so. If it dips below $100, you know those apes in WSB will stock up like crazy. Heck, when it dips that low, we might get another YOLO post from DeepF*ckinValue doubling/tripling down on GME... If and when this happens, it will no doubt trigger the apes to go on a GME buying frenzy.

Earnings report for GME today/tomorrow. Everyone is looking forward to it. Might rocket...or not.

They acknowledged the potential for the Short Squeeze in the Earnings Report tho. Its confirmation bias for the WSB apes for sure. Me honestly, I dont know how to take it.

where to buy GME in Malaysia?

You can open an Etoro account or go with the more proper (but a bit more troublesome route) of opening an Interactive Brokers account. There's also Tiger Brokers (from Singapore) which is almost as solid as Interactive Brokers but is much easier to open for Malaysians. Local Banks like Maybank also offer US Stock Trading services...but damn expensive lah. Sure, its trusted because you're dealing with Maybank, but you'd have to rely on volume to actually make profit (have to buy very large amount of shares). IMO not suitable for small fish investors/traders.

Do your research & decide which platform is right for you. The next big Catalyst is the GME meeting in June...So you have like a month or so to open an account and start buying. Me personally, I'll just watch from the distance and see if I can drop a few when it drops below everyone's expectations.
