Sony PSP, Is it used as WiFi device?

Hi there everybody, I would like to ask that anyhitng about PSP. Does anyone here using PSP? I heard that PSP can used as a WiFi device to connect to the internet,but i saw it in sony website(us) so i dont know whether its useful in Malaysia. How much is PSP selling in Malaysia now??? Thx

hi, im a PSP user. use PSP to surf net is really a bad idea... sux..  but play games superb  i bought my PSP 2 weeks ago, RM920 (with 4GB memory card, earphone, pouch, 1 ori UMD game, plus 2 DVD loaded ahem games)

well, ofcourse it can be used in malaysia for the wifi device. yeah, its better if u proceed to the gamers hideout section or the playstation section. good luck.

short answer to your question: yes it can be used to surf the net.
long answer: much like the nintendo DS,it(the psp) can surf the net,but it isnt the best device to use for surfing. it is slow,hardly has memory(you'll be cursing when you reach a picture based site),the in built keyboard is a pain to type fast,etc.
it is best use as a last resort.
comparing my pda with the psp,the pda blows the psp away in terms of surfing speed.
gaming is a whole other matter,though..PDAs just cant compare to a PSP

don't use psp for surfing internet. psp is too slow loading webpage and too hard to input data.

there used to be an article in the In-Tech. You know among all the mobile devices around, handphone, PDA and PSP...they picked PSP as the BEST device for wifi surfing

for me surfing with psp is no pain ... it aint even slow if ur quite near the access point .... like .. 70% signal and above considered good surfing .. yea i hate the cache memory ... its horrible .. stil.. i think better than pda ....
