Is the Armaggeddon Pixxel+ Elite EF27QHD Gaming Monitor worth buying? it's the cheapest 1440p 75hz monitor so far (RM649).

- Flat Screen Hard Coating
- 27'' Screen Size
- 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution
- Frameless
- 75Hz Refresh Rate
- 5ms Response Time
- -5 Degree / 15 Degree Screen Tilt
- Wall Mount Vesa 100 x 100
- 178 Degree Viewing Angle
- 16.7 Million Display Colors
- Infinity Bezel / Zero Bezel
- High Dynamic Range (HDR)
- 250 cd Brightness
- 4000:1 contrast ratio
- Flicker Free
- Anti-Blue Ray
- AMD Free Sync

Idk, the description seems too good to be true for that price, maybe it is using a cheap Chinese IPS panel? What do you guys think, is it worth buying?

If not, is there any other brand that you would recommend? Don't care about high refresh rate, just need a 1440p resolution that are under RM 900.

Maybe try prism+? Maybe new brand in Malaysia. From sg. I also eyeing their 27inch now. But it's around 1.1k.

It uses a Chinese VA panel, from CSOT (which is a joint venture company between TCL and Samsung Display):

Note that the refresh rate has been factory overclocked from 60 to 75Hz icon_idea.gif

I'm using it now. The advertising spec take it a pinch of salt.

Mine was W270 model, bought in SG since I'm based there.

The unit is cheap tbh based on their advertised price compared with other brands. But then it has dead pixel upon receiving it. Contacted the support for a replacement and they sent a refurbished unit which is even worse. Later on, they sent another unit which also got issue (grey vertical line). Ended up, they replaced me with W270 Pro model which is an upgrade to the original unit. This one give them credit to honor me the replacement although the issue didn't meet the criteria.

Although they advertised 125% wide color gamut, actually it's around 99%. Quality wise, you get what you pay for. So far, it's still working fine for me since I use it mainly for photo editing.

If you google Prism, you can see quite a number of bad reviews especially in HardwareZone forum. I won't say you should totally avoid it but only certain models are good.

On the side note, their IG is mostly advertising from content creators but not the normal consumers. The way those content creators advertised is like the monitors are far superior laugh.gif

Thank you for the explanation bro. Much appreciated. The only upside I would see here is that their customer service macam better in terms of getting replacement. Hopefully their counterpart in msia can uphold the same integrity

From the list I saw in Lazada, only X270 Pro worth getting based on popularity in SG.
